    Abstract: Disclosed is a display panel in which a sampling transistor and a sampling capacitor for additional sampling are disposed between a light-emitting element and a driving element of the display panel to secure a sufficient sampling time of the driving element. Further, a display device including the panel is disclosed. To this end, a first switching element is configured to be switched to apply an initialization voltage to each of a first electrode of the light-emitting element and a gate electrode of the driving element; and a second switching element is configured to be switched to apply a sampling voltage to a second electrode and the gate electrode of the driving element. Thus, a sufficient sampling time of a threshold voltage of the driving element is secured such that pixel defects such as luminance non-uniformity of pixels are reduced.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to a receiver device for pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) signals. The receiver device calculates a transmitter dispersion eye closure quaternary (TDECQ). The receiver device first obtains a signal, wherein the signal is based on a PAM signal sent by a transmitter device over a channel to the receiver device, and filters the obtained signal. Further, the transmitter device equalizes the filtered signal using a FFE with multiple taps, and filters the equalized signal output by the FFE using a 2-tap post filter, wherein high frequency noise caused by the FFE is compressed. The receiver device applies a Max-Log-Map (MLM) algorithm on the filtered signal output by the 2-tap post filter, reconstructs a signal constellation of the PAM signal based on the result of the MLM algorithm, and calculates a TDECQ based on the reconstructed signal constellation.

    Abstract: A coil assembly of a seal-less pump or turbine comprises materials having differing coefficients of thermal expansion that are layered but not bonded together, thereby reducing thermal stresses at cryogenic temperatures. Differences in shrinkage upon cooling provides compressive structural support. Coils are wound on hollow, non-magnetic spools, and a resin is applied for mechanical support, for example by vacuum impregnation. A release agent prevents bonding of the resin to the coils. The hollow spools are then placed over winding cores, such as laminated iron cores, without bonding. During cooling, the non-metallic spools shrink more than the cores, thereby providing compression fits. At ambient temperature, the spools can be held in place by interferences fits, and/or by key-stock pieces. Wired interconnections between the coils can be located within a wire harness cavity, which can be filled with a resin to provide mechanical support, while a release agent prevents bonding.
