Publication number: 20200359598Abstract: Animal drinkers for beaked animals often have drinker valves (12) which are to be opened by activation units (13). In order for the respective drinker valve (12) to be opened, an elongate activation means (29) of the activation unit (13) is pivoted by the beaked animals. Conventional drinker valves of this type have above all the disadvantage that the respective valve pin (16) of the drinker valve (12) is always tilted in the same direction by the activation unit (13). This leads to unilateral wear and therefore to the respective drinker valve (12) being worn out in a rapid manner. The invention provides that the activation means (29) of the activation unit (13) is provided with at least one arm (30, 31). On account of said arm (30, 31) the respective valve pin (16) is able to be lifted in an axially oriented manner when pivoting the activation means (29). This reduces wear and leads to a longer service life of the drinker valve (12).Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2018Publication date: November 19, 2020Applicant: LUBING MASCHINENFABRIK LUDWIG BENING GMBH & CO. Patent number: 10768643Abstract: Animal drinking troughs have pressure reducers for reducing the higher pressure of the liquid supply to a low liquid pressure for supplying the animal drinking troughs. For various reasons, it is desired to change the reduced pressure. This takes place by adjustment of the pressure reducers. It is known to undertake such an adjustment with compressed air. This requires a separate compressed air source and a corresponding pipe system. The invention makes provision to adjust the pressure reducer hydraulically by means of the higher pressure of the liquid of the liquid supply. The energy required for adjusting the pressure reducers thereby provides the liquid pressure of the liquid supply. As a result, the pressure reducers according to the invention operate autonomously. A separate energy source for adjusting the pressure reducers is not required.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2017Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Assignee: Lubing Maschinenfabrik Ludwig Bening GmbH & Co. Publication number: 20140311862Abstract: Special conveying systems are used within a production plant in order to transport agricultural products such as, in particular, eggs. Here, a conveyor chain 14 having a multiplicity of rods 42 which are connected to one another via chain links 44 is transported in individual conveying segments 12 of the conveyor 10. Lying on the conveyor chain 14, the products, in particular the eggs, are transported. Deposits of contaminants unavoidably occur during operation, such as, in particular, as a result of litter or feathers. Contaminants which adhere only loosely can be removed in a simple way, for example, by suitable strippers. It is the object of the invention to also eliminate contaminants which adhere firmly and as far as possible to also minimize the number of microorganisms. This is achieved by the use of an ultrasonic cleaning bath 30, into which a section of the conveyor 10 is dipped with the aid of a deflecting unit 16.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 24, 2011Publication date: October 23, 2014Applicant: Lubing Maschinenfabrik Ludwig Bening GmbH & Co. Patent number: 6938578Abstract: Known drinking troughs with drinking valves (21), which are assigned to a water-supply line (20), and water-collecting bowls (24) assigned to said drinking valves are problematic when it comes to supplying young chicks automatically with water. Known drinking troughs have proven unsuitable for young turkey chicks. The invention proposes a drinking trough which is also suitable for young turkey chicks. This drinking trough is distinguished in that valve pins for opening the drinking valves (21) are assigned elongate, tubular actuating levers (25). The actuating levers (25) facilitate the opening of the drinking valves (21). Moreover, by way of the tubular actuating levers (25) extending into the water-collecting bowls (24), the water passing out of the drinking valves (21) is directed specifically into he water-collecting bowls (24), as a result of which splashing of water is avoided.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2002Date of Patent: September 6, 2005Assignee: Lubing Maschinenfabrik Ludwig Bening GmbH & Co.Inventor: Egon Schumacher
