Abstract: Apparatuses for protecting the gunnel of a boat are disclosed. In one embodiment, the apparatus may include a planar platform and a first panel attached to, or formed with, the planar platform. The first panel may extend perpendicularly away from the planar platform. The apparatus additionally may include a second panel attached to, or formed with, the planar platform. The second panel may extend perpendicularly away from the planar platform and may be parallel to the first panel. The first and second panels may define a gap therebetween sized to receive the gunnel or rail of the boat to allow the apparatus to be supported on the gunnel or rail of the boat.
