Patents Assigned to Luminate, Inc.
  • Patent number: 8737678
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing interactive applications. In one embodiment, the systems and methods may include: (a) identifying digital content published on digital content platforms (e.g., images published on webpages); (b) assigning a key to the digital content; and (c) processing the digital content through a tagging engine (e.g., a crowdsource network) to tag the content with contextual data. The systems and methods may further include: (d) maintaining a data repository, wherein the content and respective data are indexed by corresponding key; (e) receiving a data request from an enabled application, upon user-activation of the application, wherein the data request includes the key; (f) conducting a data search of the data repository based on the key; and (g) providing the content data, responsive to the data request, for rendering of the enabled and user-activated application.

  • Publication number: 20140067542
Abstract: Disclosed are computer-implement systems and methods for identifying and analyzing content (e.g., images, videos, text, etc.) published on digital content platforms (e.g., webpages, mobile applications, etc.). Such analysis is used to identify contextually relevant content (e.g., advertisements, images, videos, etc.) for publication proximate to the originally published content. Embodiments of the present invention are also directed to user-interface systems and methods for displaying such contextually relevant content. Example embodiments generally include: (a) publishing an image on the mobile device software application; (b) providing one or more actionable user to activate the image and provide an indication of interest; (c) identifying when an end-user has activated the image; and (d) upon an end-user's activation of one or more of the actionable user interfaces, displaying contextually relevant content to the end-user based on the activated user interface.

  • Patent number: 8635519
Abstract: Systems and methods for sharing digital content based on positional tagging on a digital platform. For example, in one embodiment, the systems and methods generally include: (a) providing a first user with an interface to tag content on a first digital platform; (b) creating a positional identifier that identifies the location of the tagged content on the first digital platform; and (c) posting, on a second digital platform, a link to the first digital platform. When a second user on the second digital platform activates the link on the second digital platform, the second user is directed to the first digital platform. The systems and methods thereafter include: (d) identifying when a second user has accessed the first digital platform via the link on the second digital platform; and (e) highlighting the tagged content on the first digital platform.

  • Publication number: 20130254651
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for displaying images and contextually relevant content on a digital content platform, such as a web page. In one embodiment, for example, the systems and methods include: (1) providing a publisher of the image with a reference script for publication with the image, wherein the reference script is a computer-readable instruction that causes an end-user device to call to a content server; and (2) configuring the content server to (a) receive a request for content from the end-user device, (b) identify content that is contextually relevant to the image, (c) deliver the content to the end-user device, and (d) deliver a computer-readable instruction that causes the end-user device to perform an animation that modifies the image and displays the content in a spatial relationship with respect to the image as originally published.

  • Patent number: 8495489
Abstract: Disclosed herein are computer-implemented systems and methods for allowing an end-user to create and share annotated comments, modify published images, and/or otherwise interact with images published on digital content platforms (e.g., images published on a webpage, mobile application, etc.). The systems and methods may include: (1) providing an annotation interface to allow a first end-user to create an annotation on a published image; (2) providing a comment entry interface to receive a comment from the first end-user; (3) linking the annotation and the comment; (4) identifying when a second end-user accesses the image or comment on the digital content platform; and (5) displaying the comment and/or annotation to the second end-user.

  • Patent number: 8311889
Abstract: Disclosed herein are computer-implement systems and methods for identifying and analyzing content (e.g., text, images, videos, etc.) published on digital content platforms (e.g., webpages, mobile applications, etc.). Such analysis is then used to determine whether the published content is appropriate for association with (or “hosting of”) a third-party's content. In one embodiment, for example, the systems and methods presented are particularly useful for determining the appropriateness of an image published on a digital content platform, prior to providing an advertisement proximate the image. As such, merchants can avoid associating their advertised products/services with vulgar, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate images that may have a negative impact on their brand or reputation.
