Abstract: A lens for sunglasses includes a convex front surface, functionally directed toward an item to be viewed, and a concave rear surface, functionally directed toward the eye of a person who is wearing the eyeglasses. The lens further includes a photochromatic layer, proximate to the front surface, and a screening layer defining a UV filter, proximate to the rear surface and arranged between the rear surface and the photochromatic layer. The photochromatic layer is in the range of wavelengths comprised between 380 nm and 780 nm and has a transmittance comprised between 10% and 60%, in an activated state thereof, and a wavelength comprised between 80% and 95%, in a deactivated state thereof. The screening layer has a transmittance lower than 0.5% in the range of wavelengths comprised between 280 nm and 400 nm.
Abstract: A bistable hinge element for an eyeglasses frame, which includes a temple cage having a bottom extended laterally by two longitudinal side walls which define a housing that opens onto the proximal transverse face through an opening that is U-shaped in cross-section. The hinge element further includes a front cage which has a bottom extended laterally by two longitudinal side walls which define a housing that opens onto the proximal transverse face through an opening that is U-shaped in cross-section, and a solid body that is elastically deformable along the longitudinal axis, and which has a central portion, with a cross-section corresponding to the transverse cross-section of the U-shaped openings, which is extended at each end by a bulge of a cross-section that is complementary to the transverse cross-section of the housings of the temple and front cages.
Abstract: A nose pad for the nosepiece of a pair of eyeglasses, which is made of material that is at least partially transparent and defines a resting surface which can be rested directly on the nose of a user includes a connecting portion, which is fixed to the nose pad and is provided with a through hole for connection to a supporting pin which is integral with the frame of the pair of eyeglasses. The nose pad also includes an insert, which is at least partially embedded within the nose pad and is visible from the outside through a transparent portion of the resting surface of the nose pad.
Abstract: Eyeglasses with audio playback function include a front body adapted to retain at least one lens and includes first and second lateral ends to which respectively a first temple and a second temple for fixing the eyeglasses to the head of the user are connected. The eyeglasses also include electronic components, which include at least one audio driver. The eyeglasses are configurable at least in an open condition, which allows the eyeglasses to be worn by the user and in which the first temple and the second temple are arranged substantially parallel to each other and at right angles to the front body. The electronic components are accommodated exclusively inside the two temples.
Abstract: A flexible temple for eyeglasses has a temple body which has a fork-shaped end adapted to form a slot within which a slider can slide in contrast with the action of an elastic component. The elastic component is accommodated in a preloaded condition in the slider.
Abstract: Certain embodiments disclosed herein include lenses for eyewear with a molded wafer and a molded clear resin lens component integrated onto a surface of the molded wafer. The molded wafer can include an optical filter that enhances one or more properties of filtered light. The optical filter can be, for example, a contrast-enhancing, color-enhancing, and/or chroma-enhancing filter. The clear resin lens component can be shaped such that the lenses have optical power. In some embodiments, the molded wafer is integrated onto a surface of a polarizing wafer.
