Abstract: The invention relates to a method for generating a profile of DNA repair capacities of tumor cells and uses thereof for cancer prognosis, choice, monitoring and/or the prediction of the therapeutic efficacy of a cancer treatment in a patient, and also for screening anticancer drugs. The invention also relates to a reference library comprising profiles of DNA repair capacities for various subtypes of a cancer, obtained by the method of the invention, and to uses thereof for the classification of cancers.
