Abstract: A seal is provided around an elongated object by providing a plurality of packing pieces having external surfaces, each said packing piece being made of a material composition comprising at least one type of elastomer, and 1-10 percent by weight lubricant, calculated on the total weight of the composition, the lubricant being essentially non-combinable with said elastomer. A bushing is provided around the elongated object, the bushing is packed with the packing pieces, and, in use, the lubricant migrates to the preference, the material composition includes 1-3 percent by weight lubricant, 25-32 percent by weight elastomer, 10-13 percent by weight filler, 1-3 percent by weight activator, 0.01-3 percent by weight accelerator, 0.01-2 percent by weight vulcanizing agent, 35-55 percent by weight flame retardant, 5-8 percent by weight pH-stabilizing agent, 0.
Abstract: A frame structure for providing a lead-through facility for passing cables or like devices sealingly through a wall or like structure. The frame construction is substantially of rectangular configuration and is intended to be filled with packing pieces made of a material which has a given compressibility, in a manner to present through-passing holes which correspond in size and in number to the size and the number of cables or like devices to be passed through the frame construction. The frame construction includes a plurality of mutually interconnected frame member, namely at least one frame side-piece for each side of the frame, and one corner piece for each corner. The frame construction also includes partition walls which divide the interior of the frame construction into sections substantially perpendicularly to the frame side-pieces in the case of frame sides which are made-up of more than one frame side-piece.

Abstract: The invention relates to a tightening device for cable bushing arrangements comprising a rigid frame structure having packing pieces of which at least one presents a cable-accommodating hole. The packing pieces are arranged in rows to fill the frame structure from one end. The tightening device includes a pressure plate located between the frame structure and the adjacent row of packing pieces, and a tightening element between the frame structure and the pressure plate to press the pressure plate against the rows of packing pieces. According to the invention, this screw element comprises a screw means connected to the pressure plate and projecting therefrom for abutment with the frame structure. The free end of the screw is movable in relation to the pressure plate to produce a pressing action between the plate and the frame structure. The screw element may comprise at least two parts joined together by screwthreads and, when rotated relative to one another, changing the length of the screw element.
Abstract: A sealing system for the sealing passage of cables or tubes, consisting of a rectangular frame, parallelepipedal blocks of resilient material, each block consisting of two identical halves, and featuring a bore adapted to the dimensions of the cables, compression means for compressing the blocks within the frame and retaining means, whereby the half blocks feature at least one groove transverse to the longitudinal axis of the bore on the outer surfaces parallel to said axis and the frame features corresponding grooves while the blocks are locked in place by the said retaining means that may rest in a groove of a half block.
