Patents Assigned to Lyle Development, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4391171
Abstract: A trim press including relatively movable trim die assemblies for engaging opposite sides of a plastic sheet to sever articles integrally formed in a sheet of plastic. An article ejector is mounted on the moving die assembly. Mechanism is provided for moving one of the trim dies in a to-and-fro reciprocal path and amplifier mechanism is provided for moving the article ejector relative to the moving trim die.

  • Patent number: 4360139
Abstract: Sheet feed apparatus for intermittently advancing a sheet, such as a thermoplastic sheet including a frame, sheet engaging mechanism reciprocally mounted on the frame for intermittently advancing the sheet, mechanism for reciprocally moving the sheet engaging mechanism in a to-and-fro path of travel including a stationary shaft and a rotatable shaft concentric with the stationary shaft, a primary crank arm fixed to the moveable shaft for rotation therewith, a secondary crank arm rotatably mounted on the primary crank arm for rotation relative thereto, and mechanism coupling the primary crank arm and the secondary crank arm for rotatably driving the secondary crank arm in a direction opposite the direction of rotation of the primary crank arm.

  • Patent number: 4099902
Abstract: A differential pressure forming machine including a pair of endless, sheet supply chains for supporting a deformable thermoplastic sheet and forwardly advancing the sheet, a heater for heating the thermoplastic sheet, a mold for differential pressure forming a shape in the heated sheet, a drive chain for driving the sheet supply chains, a clutch for selectively coupling and decoupling the drive chain and the supply chains, a pair of pneumatic cylinders mounting reciprocally movable pistons which are coupled to opposite ends of the drive chain for driving the sheet support chains in forward and reverse paths of travel, and control mechanism for operating the clutch and the pistons in timed relation so that the sheet support chains and the sheet are incrementally indexed only when the chain moves in said forward path of travel.

  • Patent number: 4030650
Abstract: Apparatus for removing tail flash from molded plastic articles, such as containers or bottles, in which a pair of reciprocatory jaw assemblies are formed with meshing teeth which engage the flash from opposite sides and subsequently tear the flash from the article. The jaw assemblies are formed with meshing tooth-like projections which engage flash from opposite sides at spaced locations along the line of juncture between the web of flash and the surface of the article. Inclined cam surfaces on one jaw assembly urge a flash web engaged between the teeth of the closing jaws outwardly away from the article to tear the flash clear of the article.
