  • Patent number: 7718587
Abstract: A lubricant composition is provided for use in lubricating a conveyor track for bottles, cans, kegs and other containers for beverages and foodstuffs. The composition comprises a phosphate ester of the formula R1—(OCH2CH2)n—O—P(O)(OH)2 where n is in the range of from 0 to 10, and R1 is a C9 to C20 saturated or unsaturated alkyl group or a mixture of such alkyl groups; and water. The composition has a pH of from about 1 to about 3.5. The composition optionally further comprises a biocidal agent, an acid, and a synthetic surfactant. Also disclosed is a method for lubricating a conveyor track by applying an effective amount of such a lubricating composition.

  • Patent number: 5616046
Abstract: A method for achieving a substantially waterproof connection between first and second parts using a resilient elongate tubular member formed from a single unitary piece of a substantially water impermeable material. The elongate tubular member has first and second opposed open ends. Once the first part is coupled to the second part, the tubular member rolled, from its donut configuration, from one of the parts toward the other part so that the first end encompasses a portion of one of the parts and the second end encompasses a portion of the other part whereby abutting surfaces of the first and second parts are completely encompassed by the tubular member to minimize penetration of a liquid between the tubular member and the first and second parts to achieve a substantially waterproof engagement therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5401184
Abstract: A face plate for an electrical outlet having a pair of bosses each supporting, on an exterior surface thereof, a resilient elongate tubular member formed from a substantially water impermeable material for encasing a plug and the boss. The tubular member has opposed open first and second ends with the first end dimensioned to engage an exterior surface of the boss and a second portion dimensioned to pass over the plug and be resiliently expanded thereby to minimize penetration of liquid between the tubular member and the plug to achieve a substantially waterproof engagement therebetween.
