  • Patent number: 11382476
Abstract: An orbital single-brush machine that comprises a chassis which is configured to rest on the floor and is provided with at least one movement handle. The chassis is connected to a motor which is adapted to actuate with combined rotary and orbital motion a work tool that acts on the floor; the chassis comprises a first footing, which is at least partially substantially plate-shaped and is spaced apart from the floor, and a second footing, which is at least partially substantially plate-shaped, supports the motor and is arranged below the first footing, and is supported so that it can rotate freely by the first footing about an oscillation axis which is substantially parallel to the floor and substantially perpendicular to the direction of advancement of the machine. Shock absorbing means are provided which act between at least one portion of the first footing and at least one portion of the second footing.

  • Patent number: 8298786
Abstract: A method for detecting a bacterial load comprising adding a sample for analysis to an analysis reagent in a sterilized reaction container, thermostatting the reaction container at a temperature of between 25 and 45° C., and verifying the change in colouring of the analysis reagent. The analysis reagent is an aqueous solution comprising amino acids chosen from the group consisting of meat peptones, vegetable peptones, casein hydrolysates, tryptose, tryptones and yeast extract; glucides chosen from monometric or oligomeric glucides metabolisable by micro-organisms; a buffer system suitable for maintaining the pH between 5.5 and 8.5; a redox indicator with potential between ?250 and +250 mV and/or a pH indicator with colour change interval between pH 4.0 and pH 9.0; and a water-immiscible organic liquid compound having a lower density than water and suitable for separating the aqueous phase from a gaseous phase existing prior to the analysis or formed during the reaction.

  • Patent number: 6323461
Abstract: A heat-retractable shape memory clamp used in surgery applications is closed with a device for heating and closing heat-retractable clamps. The device includes an electronic power and control circuit which is capable of delivering different predetermined amounts of heat, each corresponding to a clamp of a given size. Settings of the electronic power and control circuit are matched to the type and size of the clamp being used so that the prongs of the clamp are closed automatically, and without the danger of accidental bone necroses. Any of a variety of heat-retractable shape memory clamps of the type generally referred to in the industry as “hot staples” may be employed with the heating device, including monocortical and bicortical bipodes, epiphysial bipodes and quadripodes, with preferred staples comprising a quantity of a nickel-titanium alloy which varies between 0.8 g and 2.8 g.

  • Patent number: 6268589
Abstract: A device for heating and closing heat-retractable clamps for surgical use includes a housing which encloses an electronic power and control circuit, a power cord connected to the circuit, and a heating unit for applying heat to the clamps. The electronic power and control circuit includes a power supply, a controller and a regulating circuit for delivering different predetermined amounts of heat, each corresponding to a clamp of a given size. The heating unit is capable of being sterilized in an autoclave and includes a linking cord, one end of which is capable of being plugged into the housing for the electronic circuit and the other end of which is coupled with a sleeve having a pair of electrodes and a control switch for operating the electrodes.

  • Patent number: 5252286
Abstract: A machine for molding is equipped with a toggle mechanism for moving one of the die-holders. The movable die holder slides on columns. The columns are attached at one end to a stationary die-holder and at another end to a closing plate. The toggle mechanism is preferably a double toggle and connects the closing plate to the movable die-holder. A control ring also slides on the columns and is connected to the toggle mechanism by connecting rods. A hydraulic actuator is used to apply force to the movable die-holder to move it towards and away from the stationary die-holder. The control ring and the connecting rods are designed so that the toggle mechanism extends outside the columns during movement of the movable die-holder away from the stationary die-holder.
