Patents Assigned to M-Bar-D Railcar Tech., Inc.
  • Patent number: 6382272
Abstract: A motor truck has a frame supporting an enclosed housing having two compartments accommodating a fuel tank, an oil tank in one compartment and a container for sand in the other compartment for servicing a rail locomotive located at a remote location or rail yard. Pumps mounted located in the one compartment move the fuel, oil, and water from the tanks through hoses to tanks on the locomotive. Air flowing from an air compressor moves sand from the sand container into a sand hopper on the locomotive.

  • Patent number: 6176279
Abstract: A motor truck has a frame supporting a fuel tank, an oil tank and a water tank along with a container for sand for servicing a rail locomotive located at a remote location or rail yard. • Patent number: 5762002
Abstract: An open top railroad car is equipped with end caps that allow air to flow into and out of the car chamber. A tarp extended between the end caps covers the open top of the car. A roll tube is secured to one longitudinal side of the tarp. A manually operated crank attached to the roll bar with a flexible cord is used by a yardperson to selectively roll the tarp to it's open and closed positions. A plurality of straps joined to the roll tube are connected to winches operable to hold the tarp in it's closed position.

  • Patent number: 5402874
Abstract: A conveyor coupled to a skid motor vehicle operates to unload bulk granular material from a railroad hopper car. The conveyor has an obtuse configured frame supporting an endless belt extended about an idler roller and a driven roller. A hydraulic motor mounted on the frame supplied with hydraulic fluid under pressure from the hydraulic system of the motor vehicle rotates the drive roller thereby moving the belt relative to the frame and mount thereon. A pair of transverse tubular box members are secured to the bottom of the frame to accommodate forks attached to the skid motor vehicle whereby the skid motor vehicle can lift the conveyor and transport it to another location.
