  • Patent number: 7647869
Abstract: A multi-ink marking structure for a hand stamp is made. A unitary foam member is provided and has a front surface, a rear surface and peripheral edges extending between the front surface and the rear surface. Selected locations of the foam member are sealed to form a barrier which extends at least substantially between the front surface and the rear surface and which divides the foam member into first and second regions adapted to store first and second inks, respectively. The barrier remains permanently connected to the first and second regions of the foam member. The barrier is adapted to prevent migration of inks between the first and the second regions. Print patterns are defined at the front surface.

  • Patent number: 7337719
Abstract: A hand stamp includes a unitary marking structure having a plurality of ink-storing regions. The unitary marking structure has front and rear surfaces and substantially porous portions between the front and rear surfaces. The unitary marking structure has a first region adapted to store a first ink and a second region adapted to store a second ink. The first and second inks may be different, such as different colors. A substantially non-porous barrier is provided between the first and second regions of the marking structure to prevent the inks from migrating between the first and second regions.

  • Patent number: 7273009
Abstract: A hand stamp includes a first marking structure having a front surface adapted to print a first ink onto an object, a rear surface and peripheral edges extending between the front and rear surfaces. The hand stamp includes a second marking structure having a front surface adapted to print a second ink onto an object, a rear surface and peripheral edges extending between the front and rear surfaces of the second marking structure. The first and second marking structures are permanently assembled together so that at least one of the edges of the first marking structure opposes at least one of the edges of the second marking structure, whereby at least one of the opposing edges has a non-porous surface for preventing migration of the first ink of the first marking structure with the second ink of the second marking structure.

  • Publication number: 20060266239
Abstract: A method of making an ink stamp includes providing a first porous structure having a top surface, a bottom surface and porous edges extending between the top and bottom surfaces, loading a first ink into the first porous structure, and providing a second porous structure having a top surface, a bottom surface and porous edges extending between the top and bottom surfaces. The method includes loading a second ink into the second porous structure, applying energy to one of the porous edges of the first porous structure to transform the porous edge to an edge having a non-porous surface, and assembling the first porous structure with the second porous structure so that the non-porous edge of the first porous structure is in direct contact with one of the porous edges of the second porous structure. The non-porous edge prevents the first ink from passing through the non-porous edge to the second porous structure.

  • Publication number: 20060236879
Abstract: An embossing seal includes a frame, a die exposed at an underside of the frame, and a handle connected to the frame, the handle being movable between an extended position and a depressed position. The embossing seal includes an impact element movable from a first position in contact with the die to a second position spaced from the die, and a spring coupled with the impact element for normally urging the impact element into the first position, the spring being deflectable for storing energy. The embossing seal also has a lever linking the handle to the impact element. In operation, movement of the handle from the extended position toward the depressed position causes the lever to move the impact element from the first position to the second position for deflecting and storing energy in the spring.

  • Patent number: 7024994
Abstract: A hand stamp is disclosed. The hand stamp comprises a frame including dove-tailed ribs which flare outwardly along at least one side thereof. The dove-tailed ribs of the frame are arranged within corresponding shaped grooves of a case, thus obtaining secure mounting of the case on the frame while facilitating relative slidable movement therebetween.
