Abstract: A crop harvesting blade is provided for use in a mechanical crop harvesting machine to improve ratooning e.g. a chopper harvester for harvesting sugar cane. The crop harvesting blade has a plurality of rectangular teeth located at and uniformly arranged along the entire periphery of the blade body. The blade also has an attachment arrangement configured to provide a plurality of attachment positions for releasable attachment of the blade body to a base plate of a cutting portion of a mechanical crop harvesting machine. Upon attachment of the blade body to the base plate in each attachment position, the corresponding portion of the plurality of teeth is placed in an operative position.
