Abstract: Apparatus for positioning prismatic bricks comprising a supporting face for bricks which are supplied pairwise parallel to each other and resting upon one of the large surfaces, and a pusher member above said supporting surface, pushing them from an edge thereof and with at least one pair of longitudinal supporting members protruding from said edge in the direction of travel of the bricks and excentrical with respect to the center lines of the paths of travel.
Abstract: Belt filter comprising a filter belt within a frame and a discharge casing connected with a suction device situated therebelow, the discharge casing comprising elements protruding from the bottom towards the filter belt supporting at least one meshed conveyor belt likewise to be driven longitudinally, and being narrower than the filter belt, such that the edges of the filter belt sealingly adjoin the outwardly diverging side edges of the discharge casing.
Abstract: Process by which moulded articles are maufactured from clay. A continuously produced strand of the material in question is sprinkled with sand, whereafter at one location a piece is severed from the end of the strand at regular intervals, by a cutting apparatus, which piece then enters a mould. In the course of all phases of the process the strand and each severed piece thereof remain directed along one vertical downwardly directed line of movement.
Abstract: A device for driving an agitator, in particular an aerator for waste water, wherein the agitator is coupled to the output shaft of the driving device, which output shaft in its turn, is coupled to a revolving table.Said revolving table has an outer ring gear which is in engagement with the cogged wheel of a motor and also constitutes the outer ring of a revolving bearing the inner ring of which is carried by a rigidly supported, axially adjustable bridge.
Abstract: Sludge is dewatered to a dry content of more than 25% by a combination of(a) pre-conditioning the sludge by flocculation with polymeric flocculants;(b) pre-dewatering the conditioned sludge to a certain solid content corresponding with shovel consistency;(c) thereafter dewatering the sludge further through electroendosmosis under pressure. This combination renders it possible to produce a product having a dry content of more than about 30% irrespective of the origin of the sludge.
