Abstract: A valve system for a bag and box combination employs a fitment having an inner mounting flange secured to the inner surface of a bag and with a projecting portion projecting out through a hole in the bag and into a passageway in the outer container. A valve plate is positioned within the bag and mounted to rotate with a shaft between an open position wherein the valve plate does not obstruct the flow passage through the fitment and is axial space from its cooperating seat form by the inner surface of the mounting flange and a closed position where the valve plate is pressed towards and cooperates with the inner face of the mounting flange in surrounding relationship to the flow passage to seal the flow passage.
