Abstract: A scan-type display device control circuit is suitable for receiving successive frame data and driving a light-emitting diode (LED) display device accordingly. The scan-type display device control circuit includes a ping-pong buffer, a data storage controller, a line scan controller, a display buffer, and a scrambled pulse width modulation (PMW) signal generating device. The scan-type display device control circuit can utilize frame data circularly and repeatedly, so as to prevent a great mass of data from being transmitted repeatedly. Therefore, a band width for inputting data can be reduced significantly. Furthermore, the scrambled PMW signal generating device can scramble a PMW signal with a long period into a plurality of scrambled PMW signals with a short period. Therefore, the refresh rate can be efficiently enhanced without changing the band width for inputting data.

  • Publication number: 20100165669
Abstract: A single-stage isolated high power factor AC/DC converter with a leakage inductor energy recovery function includes a buck-boost circuit, for step-down or step-down a power supply; a transformer, electrically connected to the buck-boost circuit, for transforming the stepped-down or stepped-up power supply; a switch, electrically connected to the buck-boost circuit; an input capacitor, electrically connected to the buck-boost circuit; and an output circuit, for outputting the power supply transformed by the transformer. When the switch is cut off, the buck-boost circuit provides an energy recovery path to return energy stored in a leakage inductor of the transformer to the input capacitor. The energy stored in the leakage inductor of the transformer in a flyback converter or a forward converter is returned to the input capacitor through the energy recovery path. The problem caused by the leakage inductor of the transformer is solved without using any additional element.

  • Patent number: 7715216
Abstract: A powering circuit of an AC-DC converter, for converting a high AC input voltage into a low DC output voltage to provide a load voltage in a stable DC bias range, includes a rectifier, a sensing circuit, a control switching circuit, and a voltage regulating capacitor. The rectifier has a primary side coupled to an AC power supply and a secondary side for outputting a DC power supply. The sensing circuit compares the AC input voltage with a preset reference voltage, and turns on a second switch in the control switching circuit when the AC input voltage is lower than the reference voltage, thereby providing a low DC output voltage. The control switching circuit sustains the DC output voltage in a stable DC bias range. Therefore, in addition to reducing the power consumption of the second switch, this circuit structure is simple and can achieve the purpose of circuit integration.

  • Patent number: 7545178
Abstract: A signal encoder and a signal decoder involves the signal encoder for receiving a data signal and a clock signal, including a first code output terminal and a second code output terminal. When the data signal is logic one, the signal encoder outputs a modulated signal through the first code output terminal, and outputs a fixed level signal through the second code output terminal. When the data signal is logic zero, the signal encoder outputs the fixed level signal through the first code output terminal, and outputs the modulated signal through the second code output terminal. The signal decoder converts the modulated signal and the fixed level signal output from the signal encoder into the data signal and the clock signal.

  • Patent number: 7479738
Abstract: A drive circuit for light emitting diode (LED) is provided, which is used to drive a plurality of LEDs to emit light. The LEDs are connected in series into a plurality of LED strings. The drive circuit includes a power converter, a detection circuit, and a report circuit. The power converter provides a driving voltage to the LED strings, and the detection circuit detects a string voltage of each LED string, and compares the string voltage with a default reference voltage, so as to determine whether the string voltage is different from the reference voltage (which indicates that the LED string is operated under a non-default state), and sends a detection signal to the report circuit. The report circuit receives the detection signal and outputs the control signal to the power converter, such that the power converter adjusts the driving voltage according to the control signal.
