Patents Assigned to MADAG Maschinen - und Apparatebau Dietikon AG
  • Patent number: 4593616
Abstract: A dabber printing machine for printing of workpieces with printing ink wherein a dabber-holder is fastened from below to a first and second vertical carriage (6, 6'). The dabber-holders run parallel to one another. In each case, in one extreme position of the horizontal carriage (7), with which both vertical carriages (6, 6') are connected, the vertical carriages (6, 6') are pressed downward by two levers (14) of a pair of gear units (12). In the other extreme position, such are pressed downward by the levers (14) of the other pair of gear units (12). Thus, the dabber-holders with the dabbers jointly and simultaneously make vertical and horizontal movements in the form of an inverted U. A step of operation of the transfer element from printing station to printing station optically occurs upon every or every other horizontal movement. Thus, indexing of the workpieces to be printed is simplified and the efficiency of the printing machine is doubled.

  • Patent number: 4533163
Abstract: Through operation of a driving crank, the knotting apparatus is advanced over the canvas holder, on the one hand, and the various tools for the knotting operation are actuated, on the other hand. By means of drawing tongs (95) comprising two gripping arms (74, 92) the yarn (94) is pulled into the region of a needle head (103). With the front ends of two snaring arms (78,79) a cut-off piece of yarn is hung over the needle head (103). By means of two cross-arms guided parallel to the needle head, the ends of the piece of yarn are led through an aperture in the needle pushed through the canvas, whereupon the needle is retracted in order to form the knot. The desired color can be selected by means of a color selector (14). The method and apparatus make it possible to knot yarn (94) of selectively different colors rapidly and uniformly to the canvas.

  • Patent number: 4137729
Abstract: A pattern contained in an information carrier is transferred to and stored in a pattern drum provided with feeler levers, a retaining guide, and a switch. Upon the movement of the lock over the needle bed, this pattern is then transferred to pushing rod jacks which in turn act upon the needles. The pattern can be suspended for a predetermined distance during an interruption phase while the pattern information itself is retained in the pattern drum, and rapid and reliable operation of the knitting machine is ensured by the use of resilient or articulated feeler levers having nose-like projections at their outer ends. To ensure proper guidance of the feeler levers, the retaining guide includes a needle-shaped portion extending into the vicinity of the switch.
