Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed which is operable for turning a page of a book, or other like reading material, and for retaining said page in a turned position. The page is turned via a vacuum arrangement which draws a single page away from the rest of the pages and an arm which is disposed in back of the single page and is displaced to turn said page from right to left. The page is retained in the turned position by means synchronously operataed with the page turning arrangement and including an arm which rests on the turned page to prevent said page from returning to the unturned page position.

Abstract: A battery operated eyewash system is disclosed which includes a liquid spraying device operable by rechargeable batteries through a spring loaded slideable switch, in combination with a hood secured to the liquid spraying device. The liquid spraying device further includes a nozzle which extends in an opening in the front of the hood for spraying liquid into the eye or eyes of a user when the user positions the face in the opening. The slideable switch is operable through a switch actuating mechanism having an operating knob extending through the front of the hood so as to be readily accessible to the user.

Abstract: A toilet seat is disposed in an elevated position relative to the bowl of a conventional toilet. The toilet seat has a plurality of clamps disposed around its underside. Each of the clamps engages the toilet bowl, whereby the toilet seat is securely maintained in the elevated position so as to be an aid for invalids and others who experience difficulty in using a conventional toilet seat.

Abstract: A pedal is secured to the bottom of a door and a clamp is secured to the door knob. The pedal is coupled to the clamp through a cord or the like. Operation of the pedal by a user turns the knob through the clamp, whereby the door latch is disengaged from a latch plate in the door jamb to free the door therefrom, so that the door may be opened by the user by pushing with a hand or foot, as the case may be.

Abstract: A raised toilet seal is superimposed upon the bowl of a conventional toilet. A clamp has a section which fits into a space provided when the lid and the seat of the conventional toilet are lifted and has another section which engages the back of the raised superimposed toilet seat, whereby the raised superimposed toilet seat is secured to the conventional toilet.

Abstract: An adjustably positioned handgrip for ambulatory aids and the like is disclosed which is contoured for maintaining the hand of the user relatively open and comfortably positioned thereon, and for reducing the tendency of the hand to slide away from and off the grip. The handgrip is adjustably mounted on the ambulatory aid to permit its displacement relative thereto to accommodate the particular needs of the user.

Abstract: A raised toilet seat is superimposed upon the bowl of a conventional toilet. A clamp has a section which fits into a space provided when the lid and the seat of the conventional toilet are lifted, and has another section which fits around the back end of the raised superimposed toilet seat and engages the underside thereof, whereby the raised superimposed toilet seat is secured to the conventional toilet.

Abstract: A bowling ball with a retractable handle is disclosed, wherein the ball (2) has a pair of substantially parallel bores (4) extending in spaced relation partially through the ball and connected by a recess (8) which receives a handle member (12) having a contour corresponding to that of the ball. Guide posts (20) slide through bushings (26) and are removably supported on the handle member. Resilient members (28) surround the guide posts and the bushings are removably supported in corresponding bores in the ball, with the guide posts and resilient members sliding into the bores. The resilient members compress when the handle member is grasped to lift the ball, and the compression is relieved upon release of the handle and ball to cause instantaneous retraction of the handle into the recess.
