Abstract: Clip-on type sunglasses include an improved mounting arrangement in which the bridge portion of the sunglass frame is adapted to fit behind the bridge of the eyeglasses on which the sunglasses are mounted, forming part of the mounting arrangement which also includes a pair of mounting clips. One mounting clip is located at the bottom of each eyewire, corresponding to the approximate middle of the lens, which receives the lower edges of the frame of the eyeglasses on which the sunglasses are mounted. Using the bridge portion of the sunglasses as part of the mounting arrangement eliminates the need for mounting clips on the upper portion of the sunglass frame. The bridge member of the sunglass frame contains a main portion and a central portion, the central portion having lower arms which are joined to form an angled member. The lower arms are connected to middle arms and upper arms which are attached to the eyewires. The angled member is oriented downwards in relation to the plane formed by the arms.
