Publication number: 20110041539Abstract: A method for dehumidifying a refrigeration system especially to dehumidify a refrigerated transporting container is disclosed. The refrigeration system comprises a refrigeration circuit including an evaporator, a compressor, an expansion valve and a condenser. The refrigeration system also comprises a control unit and a cooling space, the evaporator is placed in the cooling space and air blows over the evaporator to be cooled down. The dehumidification method is stepwise, and the method comprises a dehumidification mode and a re-establish mode. During the dehumidifying process the system shifts between the dehumidification mode and a re-establish mode stepwise dehumidifying the air in the container in such a way that the measured parameters especially the compartment temperature stays within acceptable limits.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 17, 2010Publication date: February 24, 2011Applicant: Maersk Container Industri A/SInventor: Morten Nylykke

Patent number: 7866258Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the composition of gases within a cargo container. The apparatus includes at least one sensor, at least one controller and at least one gas permeable membrane being adapted to facilitate the passage there through of different molecules at different rates. Said membrane defining a first region and a second region, the first region being for holding cargo and the second region defining a gas buffer region, said at least one inlet and/or outlet being in communication with said buffer region. The invention further relates to a container.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2004Date of Patent: January 11, 2011Assignee: Maersk Container Industri A/SInventors: Gert Jørgensen, Richard D. Schmidt

Publication number: 20100300133Abstract: In a container 1 with an end wall 5, an air treatment system 6 that is arranged in the end wall 5 and comprises an opening 14 on its bottom side, through which it emits an air flow, a floor 2 provided with channels guiding the air flow in a direction away from the end wall 5, and an air guide 15 forming, in an operation position, together with a part of the end wall 5 and a part of the floor 2 an air channel 16 that guides the air flow between the opening 14 and the channels in the floor, it is endeavoured to prevent the air guide from being damaged by the forks of a fork lift truck. This is achieved in that the container 1 comprises a spring arrangement that counteracts a movement of the air guide 15 in the direction of the end wall 5.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2008Publication date: December 2, 2010Applicant: Maersk Container Industri A/SInventors: Gert Joergensen, Lars Lubker

Publication number: 20090298409Abstract: The invention concerns a ventilation valve arrangement (1) with two valve openings (5, 6) in a valve plate (3), the opening degrees of said openings being controllable by means of a valve element, which is rotatable in relation to the valve plate (3). It is endeavoured to create a large range of control opportunities in a cost-efficient manner. For this purpose it is provided that in parallel to at least one valve opening (5, 6) a ventilation channel (9) is arranged, whose flow cross-section is adjustable by means of a motor controlled valve (10). The ventilation valve arrangement (1) can be dimensioned so that at the same time it serves as underpressure valve for a transport container.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 27, 2009Publication date: December 3, 2009Applicant: MAERSK CONTAINER INDUSTRI A/SInventors: Lars Lübker, Gert Joergensen
