  • Patent number: 7086579
Abstract: A tissue-lined box is formed from a carton blank having a generally rectangular bottom panel with a width W, the carton blank having integral side walls and end walls connected with the bottom panel at creased fold lines. Four corner panels, one corner panel positioned at each respective corner of the generally rectangular bottom panel as an integral extension of one of the side wall and the end wall and connected to the other of the side wall and end wall to form the box. Fold lines adapt the box for folding to a flat condition and to an erected open position. A tissue insert has at least one layer of tissue paper and is folded to have at least one folded edge, the width T of the tissue insert taken from the folded edge to the opposite edge being greater to the width W of the bottom panel.

  • Patent number: 6527168
Abstract: Blanks for forming open sided containers and mating covers from carton stock material include strips of non-stick material secured to the blank by means of a strippable adhesive. The adhesive adheres to the carton stock material with a substantially higher adherence force than the adherence force between the adhesive and the non-stick material, so that the non-stick material can be removed, readily, to expose the tacky surface of the adhesive. The carton blanks are marked with a predetermined pattern of fold or crease lines which allows the blank to be bent and folded into the shape of a container or a container cover. The non-stick material facilitates handling and separation of individual blanks that have been shipped and stored in tightly packed, stacked arrays, while the exposed adhesive surface engages specifically formed tabs and/or flaps of the blank in overlapping, abutting relationships to secure the blank in its final, assembled, container/cover shape.

  • Patent number: 6077598
Abstract: Posterboard has different colors on its two planar surfaces, whereby the posterboard may be selected for use on the basis of either or both colors. Groups of posterboard each having different colors on opposite planar surfaces provide for reducing inventory and shelf space while providing complete color selection to the purchaser.

  • Patent number: 5776046
Abstract: A method of producing doilies includes coating sheets of paper stock with a lubricious release fluid, collecting the sheets into a multi-layered web, and cutting and embossing doilies from the web. The fluid is preferably a solution of mineral oil and silicone, and results in the doilies being more easily separable after being adhered by the cutting and embossing process. A solution of mineral oil and 15%-40% silicone is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5753335
Abstract: A doily includes a substrate with multicolor artwork coating substantially covering the top surface. The artwork coating is applied by four color, or more, process printing. A peripheral margin defines patterned cutouts which diminish the substrate and artwork coating, thereby relatively emphasizing the artwork coating in a substantially imperforate central area. The substrate is foil/paper lamination or paper, including precoated paper. The doilies are made by printing rolls of substrate sheet material, layering sheet from plural rolls, and cutting and embossing plural doilies in aligned stacks.
