Abstract: A device for assisting loading rounds into a firearm magazine (70) includes a body (12) that locks to the magazine using a catch pin 16. The body has a top opening (32) for a round (74). A press (40) hinged to the body top includes two plungers (44, 46) projecting down and aligned to enter the opening. A bullet pusher (60) is hinged to the body front and has a tongue (68) with a pushing surface (64). A wire (54) couples the press and pusher so that when the press is moved down, the pusher is moved out, and vice versa. A round is placed in the opening and on the tongue and the press is moved down to withdraw the tongue and push the round partly into the magazine. The pusher is then moved to the body to raise the press and push the round fully into the magazine.
Abstract: A loader (10) facilitates loading loose rounds into a firearm magazine (60). It comprises a body (12) that fits on and is locked to the magazine using a locker (40). A spring-loaded press (30) with a plunger (34) is coupled to the body and is tiltable from above to between the magazine's lips (64). To load a round, the user fits the loader onto and locks it to the magazine and forces the spring-loaded press down so the plunger pushes the topmost round and/or follower down enough to insert a new round, case first, until it meets the plunger. Then the user reduces force on the press to allow the plunger to be lifted up so that the plunger is cleared from the magazine, whereupon the user can nudge the partially inserted round rearwardly to its final position in the magazine.
Abstract: An unloader (10) for firearm magazines (40) has a plate hingedly coupled to a back of the magazine so the plate can be moved against or tilted away from the magazine. The plate has a projecting plunger at its top that can push a round out of the top of the magazine when the plate is moved against the magazine's back. The plate is hingedly coupled to the magazine by holding it with a thumb or finger or by hinging it to an adapter that is coupled to the magazine. A user holds the adapter or the plate against the magazine and moves the plate between open and closed positions. In the closed position the plunger forces the top round forward and out from the lips of the magazine and in the open position the plunger allows the magazine's follower to push a second round into the top position.
Abstract: A magazine loader (10) facilitates loading loose rounds into a firearm magazine. The loader comprises a body (12) with finger rests (14), a plunger tooth (18), a pusher element (20), and a spring (22). The body includes an opening (16) to accept the magazine. The tooth pushes down the topmost round (50). The pusher element and the spring push the loader up after each round is partially loaded. To load a round, the loader is fitted on the magazine and forced down so its tooth pushes the topmost round down sufficient to insert a new round, rim first, until it engages the plunger. Then, the user reduces force on the loader to allow the pusher to lift the loader up so that the plunger is cleared from the magazine, whereupon the partially inserted round can be forced rearwardly to its final position in the magazine.
