Abstract: A control apparatus for use with a stone spreader vehicle improves the control of particulate material travelling on a conveyor. The control apparatus has an endless belt supported about a plurality of rollers, a capture volume at its leading edge for receiving the incoming particulate material on the conveyor, and a release volume at its trailing edge for releasing the particulate material from the control apparatus.
Abstract: A mount for operationally positioning a shield assembly above a conveyor belt assembly. The mount comprises a pair of spaced apart brackets attached on each side of the conveyor frame, and a pair of linkages pivotally connecting the brackets to the shield assembly.

Abstract: A bucket used in association with a loader provides both top and lateral discharge. The bucket is defined by a frame with front and rear walls, as well as a pair of side walls, and an endless loop of conveyor belt that serves as a bottom to the bucket. Lateral discharge provided through a gap between the endless loop and each of the side walls. A slide at a bottom of each side wall at least partially fills the gap between the side wall and the endless loop. The endless loop is selectively driven in the direction of either of the side walls by a drive means contained within the frame.
Abstract: A flexible endless belt mountable on rotating elements has an outer and inner surface between first and second lateral edges and a plurality of longitudinally spaced-apart laterally oriented upraised flights on the outer surface. Each flight has a single medial portion offset in a rearward longitudinal direction from portions of the flight immediately lateral to the medial portion. Protrusions on the inner surface engage the rotating elements for endlessly rotating the endless belt in a forward longitudinal direction. Such an endless belt is particularly useful on a control apparatus for a stone slinger.
Abstract: A device for controlling the conveyance of particulate material on a conveyor belt comprises a frame with an endless belt attached thereto. The apparatus is positioned above the conveyor belt and in frictional contact therewith whereby the motion of the conveyor results in motion of the endless belt on the apparatus. The particulate material thereby is passes between the endless belt and the conveyor belt and any bouncing movement of such material is prevented. Use of the present invention on conventional conveyor belts controls the dispersion of the particulate material carried thereon and allows for the speed of the conveyor to be increased. The present invention is suitable for use with a conveyor apparatus used with a truck and commonly known as a “stone slinger”.
