    Abstract: An evaporator with a finned tube block with tubes and fins, wherein the tubes are arranged in rows and the fins are arranged between the tubes, with a first collection and distribution box and with a second collection and distribution box. Each of the two collection and distribution boxes has a bottom and a box lid. The respective bottom has openings for inserting the tube ends of the tubes of the finned tube block. The finned tube block is divided into evaporator flows to which groups of tubes of the finned tube block are assigned. The tubes of an evaporator flow each merge end-side into a box area of a collection and distribution box. The respective bottom of the collection and distribution boxes is designed with rim holes for inserting the tube ends in the openings.

The charging assembly has a ferrite plate for directing the electromagnetic alternating field, which is established between the charging coil and the fluid pipe, such that waste heat from the ferrite plate and the charging coil can be transmitted to the fluid in the fluid pipe. The fluid pipe is formed by a shell-type metal shielding plate for shielding electromagnetic field emissions and a shell-type lower shell heat-conductingly in contact with the ferrite plate. The metal shielding plate and the lower shell are secured on one another in a fluid-tight manner and spaced apart from one another with a stiffening insert.

An inner diameter of the throat is smaller than an inner diameter of the inlet segment. The inlet segment communicates with the activated carbon containing chamber, the throat communicates with the desorption port, the back suction tube connects to the throat, and the back suction tube extends to the bottom of the cavity. Thereby, a negative pressure is created, the fuel collected within the carbon canister is desorbed to the engine so that the fuel utilization is improved, and the exhaust emission is reduced.

    Abstract: An unchamfered piston ring that is pre-treated by grit blasting to a defined roughness, followed by PVD coating with a metal nitride to a thickness of at least 10 ?m, leaving peaks and valleys in the coated piston ring. The coated piston ring is then lapped to remove the peaks without penetrating the coating, so that valleys and plateaus remain in the coated surface. The resulting piston ring exhibits superior coating retention due to the increased surface area created by the grit blasting, and yet also superior performance, as the cavities remaining increase the porosity of the coating and thus enhance the lubrication of the ring.
