Abstract: The invention provides a method of preventing contamination of a dryer of a paper machine so that a predetermined anti-fouling effect can always be ensured over a long term while maintaining satisfactory drying efficiency. With the method of preventing contamination of the surface of a drum dryer used in a paper machine, according to the invention, a predetermined amount of a surface forming agent P is continuously supplied to the surface of the drum dryer D1 in rotation, facing a paper strip W, while the paper strip W is being fed by the paper machine in operation.
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method of preventing the over-adhesion of paper onto the surface of a press roll for a long time and preventing both wear and contamination in a paper machine. To do so, there is adopted a method of, in a press roll in a state in which paper is being supplied by driving a paper machine, preventing the over-adhesion of the paper onto a surface of the press roll, wherein wax whose melting point is lower than the surface temperature of the press roll is continuously supplied to a direct surface of the rotating press roll by the amount of 0.01 to 10 mg/m2, that is a calculation on the basis of passing paper.
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to improve the adhesiveness of the paper body to the surface of a cylindrical Yankee dryer in the manufacturing process of crepe paper products in order to make a high-grade crepe form.
This is a manufacturing process of high-grade crepe paper products by attaching a paper body (P) to the surface of a rotating Yankee dryer (Y) and separating said paper body P through a doctor blade (D), wherein a crepe assistant (C) including 0.1 &mgr;g˜10 &mgr;g/m2 of molybdenum disulfide is continuously fed directly onto the surface of the cylindrical Yankee dryer (Y) while the paper body P is continuously fed to the cylindrical Yankee dryer.
An improvement in the adhesiveness of the paper body brought about a lower crepe ratio and enabled to manufacture high-grade crepe paper products provided with uniformly fine and delicate crepe “microholds.
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for monitoring and controlling computer systems. The invention provides an intelligent card and a monitoring and control unit coupled to the intelligent card. The intelligent card translates a data stream form a host computer system into a universal data stream. The universal data stream is communicated to the monitoring and control unit via a standard network protocol for performing operations based on the universal data stream.

Abstract: An electronic monitoring method for externally monitoring processes in a computer system is provided in which preexisting computer system generated signals output by a particular process in the computer system are received. The preexisting computer system generated signals are transformed into a plurality of message signals in a common message signal format. Subsequently, different operations are performed on a particular message signal of the plurality of message signals based on processing rules related to monitoring functions such that monitoring of the computer system is accomplished by only utilizing the preexisting computer system signals. In addition, a monitoring system for implementing the external monitoring method is provided.

Abstract: An electronic control method for externally controlling processes in the computer system is provided in which electronic data is presented as graphical information to a user on a display device. In addition, electronic data input by the user is received. Processing rules are obtained from user input provided through the input device in response to processing rules displayed to the user on the display device. Operations of the computer system are controlled based on the processing rules with the electronic data processor such that the computer system can be automatically externally and directly controlled with the processing rules by only utilizing preexisting computer system signals received from the computer system and control signals sent to the computer system. In addition, a control system for implementing the external control method is provided.

Abstract: An electronic control method for externally controlling processes in the computer system is provided in which electronic data is presented as graphical information to a user on a display device. In addition, electronic data input by the user is received. Software routines are written in a script language specifically designed for computer monitoring and control operations through interactively presenting data to and receiving data from the user. Subsequently, processing rules are interpreted from the software routines with an electronic data processor. Operations of the computer system are controlled based on the processing rules with the electronic data processor such that the computer system can be automatically externally controlled with the processing rules by only utilizing preexisting computer system signals received from the computer system and control signals sent to the computer system. Abstract: A laminating device for manufacturing a laminated printed circuit board comprising a frame that supports sets of heated rollers along the path of movement of said laminated circuit boards while they are being manufactured. Each of said sets of rollers including two rollers. The rollers on one side of the path of travel of the printed circuit board blank are driven to move the blank through the device. The rollers are heated, and means are provided for selectively moving the rollers in each of said sets of rollers toward and away from each other to apply pressure to said printed circuit board blank.
