Abstract: Sheets (26, 28, 30, 32) of aromatic polyamide polymer fibers are folded or formed into various shapes and constructions and used as light diffusers on lamps. The light diffusers are resistant to combustion which allows them to be placed closer to the light source. The diffusers are translucent and provide an appearance similar to parchment or rice paper.
