Abstract: A filter assembly includes a ring of filter media, a first end cap, a second end cap, a first seal, and a second seal. The first end cap is coupled to a first end of the filter media. The second end cap is coupled to a second end of the filter media and includes (i) a radially extending portion having a first opening and (ii) a first axially extending portion having a stepped ledge defining a first inner diameter. The first seal is supported by the second end cap and includes a second opening defining a second inner diameter that is less than the first inner diameter. The second seal is supported by the second end cap and includes a third opening defining a third inner diameter that is greater than the first and second inner diameters. The stepped ledge is disposed between the first seal and the second seal.

Abstract: A muffler for a filter system has a base body with an inlet opening. A fluid guiding rib is externally arranged on the base body so as to guide a fluid to be filtered by the filter system toward the inlet opening of the base body. The fluid guiding rib extends along a first flow direction, wherein the fluid to be filtered passes through the base body along the first flow direction. A filter system with a filter housing and a filter element removably received in the filter housing is provided with such a muffler. The muffler is attached to the filter housing.

Abstract: A removal system is provided with a separating element for separating contaminants contained in a fluid and with a removal aid for removing the separating element from a housing. The separating element has an end disk arranged at an end face of the separating element. The end disk has a central recess. The removal aid has a grip section and at least two locking fingers. The locking fingers extend along a center axis of the removal aid away from the grip section. Each locking finger has a hook element that serves for engaging behind the end disk of the separating element radially outside of an end disk area that delimits in radial outward direction immediately the central recess. A removal aid for such a removal system is provided.

Abstract: A filter system for filtering a fluid has a filter housing with filter housing head module and housing cover. The filter housing accommodates a filter element with raw side and clean side. A fluid inlet is in fluid connection with the raw side of the filter element. A fluid outlet is in fluid connection with the clean side of the filter element. The filter housing head module has a tube section as a main channel connecting the clean side of the filter element to the fluid outlet when the housing cover is attached to the filter housing head module. The tube section projects into the clean side of the filter element and has a ball valve seat of a ball valve for closing or opening the main channel. The filter housing head module has a pump chamber of a pump as a bypass channel bypassing the ball valve seat.

Abstract: A fluid treatment device has an exchangeable treatment unit and a connection head. A bayonet-type connection device connects connection head and treatment unit to each other by a plug-in/rotation movement about a connection axis of the treatment device and is provided with a housing connection part and a head connection part that operatively engage each other to form a connection of the bayonet-type connection device. Housing connection part and head connection part each have a mutually complementary functional element extending circumferentially about the connection axis and operatively connectable to each other. The bayonet-type connection device has a pretension element for realizing a mechanical pretension pressing the functional elements against each other. The pretension element is a spring element with outwardly projecting spring arms with radially outer end faces provided with a straight section that is tangential to a rim extending in circular shape around the connection axis.

Abstract: A venting unit for a housing has a base body to be connected fluid-tightly to a rim of a housing opening. The base body has a gas passage opening closed by a membrane that spans areally across the gas passage opening transversely to an axial direction. An actor is operatively connected to the base body and has an emergency venting spike extending axially toward the membrane. The emergency venting spike has a tip or a cutting edge arranged, in a state of rest, at a predetermined distance from a membrane surface of the membrane and can move toward the membrane when the actor is actuated so that tip or cutting edge punctures the membrane. A cover arranged at an outer side of the base body covers the gas passage opening. A fastening mechanism connects cover and base body. The actor has an actuation element for releasing the fastening mechanism.

The housing has a gas inlet and a gas outlet surrounding the connection axis. A separating medium inside the housing separates gas inlet from gas outlet. A liquid collection chamber inside the housing at a clean gas side surrounds connection axis and gas outlet. A liquid drain leads out of the liquid collection chamber. Gas outlet and liquid drain lead out of the housing at a side provided with the connection device. A pipe section arranged inside the housing surrounds circumferentially the connection axis and forms at least partially a radially inner boundary of the liquid collection chamber. The pipe section leads to the gas outlet. The pipe section is functionally separated from mechanical force-transmitting connection elements of the connection device.

Abstract: A filter body is provided with a filter medium that has filter layers arranged one over the other, wherein each filter layer is provided with at least one active material. The at least one active material is the same in all of the filter layers. The filter layers are to be flowed through serially in a through-flow direction of the filter body. Sensor devices are provided, wherein each sensor device is arranged between two of the filter layers neighboring each other, respectively, so that the sensor devices, in the through-flow direction of the filter body, are arranged one after another in order to determine a sorption capacity of the at least one active material of each filter layer over a service life of the filter body.
