Abstract: A filter assembly for a motor-vehicle air cleaner includes a primary filter, a secondary filter set apart from the primary filter, and a filter frame configured to support the primary filter and the secondary filter. The filter mount is fittable in and removable from a housing of the air cleaner, and includes a divider passing between the main filter and the auxiliary filter, the divider including at least two channels separated by a rib.

Abstract: An anti-drainback valve contains a locking mechanism for securing the valve into to a filter assembly. The locking mechanism is made up of at least two keys that extend from the valve into beyond a cap of the filter assembly in order to secure the valve within the filter assembly. When multiple keys are employed, such keys may be equally spaced around the circumference of the cap. Manufacturing costs are kept minimal as minimal material is required and a two part mold may be employed during manufacturing.

Abstract: A fluid filter includes a filtering medium and a relief valve. The relief valve includes an opening and is disposed between opposite longitudinal ends of the filtering medium. The filtering medium may include a plurality of pleats, and the relief valve may couple planar surfaces of two pleats. The opening of the relief valve may be directly connected to an outlet of the fluid filter, so that flow of fluid through the opening bypasses the filtering medium.

Abstract: An apparatus for transferring adhesive material to portions of filter elements that are displaced relative to the apparatus includes a dispenser from which heated adhesive material is discharged, a transfer arrangement that receives discharged adhesive material and transfers the discharged adhesive material to the portions of the elements as they are displaced, and a cooling arrangement. The cooling arrangement cooperates with the transfer arrangement to cool the discharged adhesive material while the adhesive material is carried by the transfer arrangement to the adhesive material receiving portions of the elements. A process by which adhesive material is transferred to adhesive material receiving portions of the filter elements, as well as an air line panel filter produced by that process, are also discussed.

Abstract: Static dissipaters for eliminating static electricity in fuel filter assemblies and fuel filter assemblies including static dissipaters are provided. The static dissipaters are in the form of a static dissipation sleeve that is disposed around the outside of a fuel pump within a fuel filter assembly. The static dissipation sleeve has one or more protrusion portions that protrude radially from the surface of the static dissipation sleeve and provide contacts for static dissipation of static electricity.

Abstract: A fluid filter providing several degrees of filtering is designed to be receivable in a filter container that is closable by a cover. The filter itself includes both an annular main filter element, through which fluid to be filtered can pass radially to undergo primary filtration, and a supplemental filter element, to which fluid discharged from the main filter element passes to provide supplemental filtration additional to the primary filtration. The main filter element, the supplemental filter element, or both may be oblong or circular in cross section. At least one of a pair of end caps disposed on opposed ends of the main filter element carries the supplemental filter element as well as one end of the main filter element. That end cap may or may not be permanently secured to the one filter element end.

Abstract: A fluid filter is described, comprising a filter body defining a cavity for a filter element, a first end cap for fitting on one end of the filter body, having an integrated single piece anti drain back valve and seal, and a second end cap for fitting on an opposite end of the filter body, having an integrated two part relief valve and supports for the filter element, formed by a relief valve body and a relief valve disc.
