  • Patent number: 5416703
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the automatic determination of the assignment of directional sensors to the moving directions of a vehicle is described wherein signals and/or their time derivatives, obtained during specific time intervals, from sensors associated with a measuring device which are utilized for acquiring the dynamics of a vehicle are linked-up with signals generated by a system of the vehicle which is assigned, in an explicit and previously known manner, to the movement direction of the vehicle. The method and apparatus achieves, in the operation of the data acquisition apparatus, the automatic assignment of the moving directions of the vehicle to the sensors of the measuring device.

  • Patent number: 5412570
Abstract: An apparatus for recording driving data which comprises a data gathering device, which further comprises a sensory measuring device, a control unit, an A/D converter, a plurality of parallel ring storage devices and a semiconductor storage device. Analog measurement signals, which are continuously detected by the sensory measuring device, for recording a vehicle movement, are continuously sensed by the control unit with two different frequencies after being digitized into digital measurement signals in the A/D converter. The digital signals are stored in the plurality of parallel ring storage devices with clock frequencies.

  • Patent number: 5274561
Abstract: An apparatus is described for increasing a fare to a rounded-off amount, in which the fare is determined by an electronic taximeter and prior to the preparation of a voucher in an assigned voucher printout mechanism the amount payable is rounded-off by an increase of the fare amount manually preselectable in predetermined steps, based on an actuation of operating keys. A stepwise or discretely adjustable rounding-off is selectable for printout in the voucher printer in such a way that the voucher shows the sum, formed from the fare+surcharge+additional amount selected by the passenger.

  • Patent number: 5066951
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a circuit arrangement for adjustment of the triggering point of the keys in an inductive keyboard. The keyboard consists essentially of a printed circuit board designed in a matrix-like manner, comprising coils superimposed upon each other, into which a ferrite pin plunges when a key is actuated. By the cooperation of a pulse generator with a current switch which can be influenced through control lines, said cooperation being controllable by a microcomputer, a current pulse is coupled from one coil to another coil and is recognized as a readout signal by a controllable readout amplifier and is conducted further to a central unit. The adjustment of the triggering point of the keys is accomplished by varying the steepness of the driving current pulse, for example, by means of a blocking time duration in the charging of a capacitor determined only once, which durations are stored in a table of values, or it is derived from the fundamental interlinked signals of the keys.
