  • Patent number: 7551066
Abstract: A method for transmitting data for a security device, in particular for access authorization systems and/or driving authorization systems of a motor vehicle, in which data are transmitted over the air from a transmitter unit to a receiver unit. In a method in which, despite contactless interrogation of the identification signal transmitter, an authorizing access information item cannot be obtained by a third party, the data are transmitted, after capacitive coupling of the transmitter unit and receiver unit, from the transmitter to the receiver using a signal which is generated by a capacitive alternating field.

  • Patent number: 7185369
Abstract: The invention specifies a navigation or multimedia system in which a check is carried out to determine whether a user of files, such as roadmap data, is authorized to use these files. To this end, the navigation system has means for checking authorized use of files on the bulk storage medium on which the files are stored. The files are stored in encrypted form, in particular. In accordance with an inventive method for enabling the use rights on a file, provision is made for the user to enter a first and a second scrambled code (PIN and ACW) into the navigation system first. These codes are converted into vectors. A device identifier ID of the navigation system and the first scrambled code PIN are first used to calculate a key k. The key k and the second scrambled code ACW are used to calculate an access authorization identifier AC, which is compared with the access authorization identifiers for the files stored on the storage medium.

  • Patent number: 7124501
Abstract: Method for producing an electrical connector connecting between a first and a second mating contact partner, wherein at least one contact partner is surrounded by a plug housing. The first and the second contact partners are lead with latching means together to form a plug-in electrical connection in the plug housing. Laser-welding is applied to the first and the second contact partners to make the connection an integral, non-detachable connection, by directing a laser beam through a single opening in the plug housing.

  • Patent number: 7065861
Abstract: The invention relates to a strain-sensitive resistor, comprising a resistance layer arranged on a support element and an electromechanical transducer produced with this resistor. An increase in the electrical measured signal picked off across the resistor is achieved in a simple way by the support element (1) having a recess (7) on its surface (9) which, when the support element (1) is subjected to mechanical stress in at least one area of the surface (9) of the support element (1) in which the resistance layer (4) is positioned, produces a ratio between the two main strain directions (L, T) of the resistance layer (4) which differs in magnitude.

  • Patent number: 7050587
Abstract: In a device for actuating a security device, preferably for securing a motor vehicle against unauthorized use, in which a control unit transmits a first coded electromagnetic signal (stimulus signal), in which a portable transmitter (radio key) receives the stimulus signal and transmits a second coded signal (enable signal), and in which the control unit is connected to the security device and actuates the latter if the enable signal is received and recognized, both the control unit and the radio key can after the carrier frequency of the coded electromagnetic signals. During signal transmission, this frequency is altered in a manner which is known only to the control unit and to the radio key.

  • Patent number: 7010686
Abstract: A method for enabling use rights on a file, which is stored on a storage medium together with at least one other file and is provided with an identifier, for use by a single computer system or by a limited number of local computer systems, wherein a central station calculates a first and second scrambled code PIN and ACW containing a key k, for decrypting the files stored in encrypted form, and a device identification number ID. The device identification number ID is changed with each new enabling operation. Once the two scrambled codes have been entered into the computer system, the computer system first calculates a new device identification number ID from stored data and uses this new device identification number ID and the first scrambled code PIN for the key k and uses the key k and the second scrambled code ACW to calculate an identifier AC for the file which is to be enabled.
