Patents Assigned to Mannesmann Veba Umwelttechnik GmbH
  • Patent number: 4509697
Abstract: A rotary drum screen which exhibits baffles with impact plates extending in the direction of the periphery and a diameter which makes it possible to break up the refuse beforehand through free fall. The upper edge of the impact plates can have a saw tooth contour and the cross section of the drum casing is a polygon, preferably an octagon. The rotary drum screen rotates at a rotational speed such that the centrifugal acceleration at the drum casing is preferably 50-70% of acceleration due to gravity.

  • Patent number: 4485745
Abstract: In a method of thermal solid waste exploitation the pure pyrolysis gases are used for auxiliary heating in combustion and the flue gases from combustion are used for heating in pyrolysis. In a solid waste processing installation the pure gas outlet of the pyrolysis unit is connected to the auxiliary burner of the combustion unit and the pyrolysis reactor is arranged between the flue gas outlet of the combustion unit and a waste heat retrieval unit.

  • Patent number: 4445906
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the treatment of the combustible portion of crushed domestic waste. The waste is pre-dried and separated from dense-medium material such as metal and glass prior to processing. A dried waste moisture level of about 8-10% is maintained throughout the process. High heat value briquets are produced without the addition of a bonding agent by sifting out fine inert material and plastic material prior to briquetting.
