Patents Assigned to Manufacture de Machines du Haut-Rhin S.A.
  • Patent number: 4621580
Abstract: The present invention concerns a process and an arrangement for manufacturing a smoke emitting arrangement which generates a trace of smoke of predetermined color, red or other color, particularly adapted for use with a spin-stabilized projectile forming a distress or signal flare, and the colored smoke emitting arrangement obtained thereby. The process is characterized in that one obtains a smoke emitting composition by dry-mixing in a pulverulent state a sublimable coloring medium and a pyrotechnic carrier support composition; by distributing the coloring medium between the particles of the carrier support composition; and then placing the end-product (charge), so obtained, into a rigid, fluid-tight housing, which has an opening forming a nozzle oriented along an average predetermined direction, and by compressing the charge in in the interior of this housing in such a way that it is least compressed in the proximity of the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4596331
Abstract: An installation for assembly-line manufacture in which workpieces move in a row along a production path at a generally uniform spacing. A feed unit holds a supply of workpieces and places them one at a time in a predetermined position in the seats of an input rotary feed conveyor. An inspecting unit defines a portion of the continuous production path for the workpieces and inspects the workpieces as they pass therealong. The inspecting unit itself includes an intake rotary conveyor cooperating with the feed conveyor, an output rotary conveyor, and at least one inspecting carousel between the intake and output conveyors. A controller supervises and coordinates the operation of the other units on the workpieces as same move along the production path.

  • Patent number: 4475479
Abstract: The present invention relates to a machine for the continuous treatment of a body of revolution. Treatment stations are provided on the periphery of a rotatable drum. The machine comprises at the location of the zone of treatment a continuous guiding belt driven by a prime mover. On one side or the other of such belt, or on both sides thereof, there are disposed elements constituting a fixed guiding guard. The drum drives the bodies of revolution which are to be treated, in rotation by friction as they pass along the guard and the belt, the treating operation being effected when the treatment stations and the bodies pass through the zone of treatment. The bodies can themselves turn, if the drum is stopped, by friction between them and the movable belt, in order to avoid defects in varnishing or other similar treatments in case of breakdown of the driving of the drum. The apparatus is particularly useful in the continuous varnishing of bodies of revolution.

  • Patent number: 4266656
Abstract: An endless chain for an apparatus which carries a plurality of articles to be treated around one or more article-treating drums, the chain and articles being continuously in motion. The chain is formed of a plurality of serially connected links which are joined to each other by pivotal connections, the axes of the pivotal connections being parallel to each other and parallel to the axes of the drums around which the chain travels. Each link has at least one cavity therein which receives the product to be treated, the cavity being of such shape that the product can be introduced thereinto and removed therefrom in a direction perpendicular to the plane containing the axes of the pivotal connecting means for the respective link. The chain travels upon a fixed guide upon which it slides, such fixed guide guiding the links laterally, the chain travelling between parallel fixed guides which prevent the escape of the articles from the cavities except at points where at least one of such latter guides is interrupted.

  • Patent number: 4015356
Abstract: Revolver cylinder provided with a mechanism for the ejection of rimless cartridge casings, and a revolver incorporating such cylinder. The ejector has a head with a plurality of part-circular cutout portions which are disposed in alignment with the chambers in the cylinder. Each of such cutout portions in the head has a peripheral groove in which there is disposed a generally part-circular leaf spring which is adapted to fit within the annular groove in the rear end of the cartridge casing and to engage the casing at two diametrically opposed zones.

  • Patent number: 3965603
Abstract: Double action revolver having a slider with an opposing or withdrawing spring. The withdrawing spring of the rebounding slider is constituted by elastic arm of which one of the ends is fixed, and is maintained within the frame of the revolver, the other end of such spring being mobile and engaging a curved abutment surface connected to the slider, the point of engagement with said abutment surface varying as a function of the position of the slider in the frame. The slider is provided with rollers for rotation around two parallel axles and roll along a supporting plane surface provided in the frame.
