Abstract: A system for identifying and presenting information relating to travel within a geographic region, has a data base for storing a plurality of travel routes within the geographic region and one or more types of travel information associated with one or more of the plurality of travel routes. A keyboard or other device is provided to input first and second geographic locations within the geographic region to the system. A computer processor retrieves at least one travel route between the first and second geographic locations from the stored plurality of travel routes. The processor also retrieves travel information corresponding both to at least one type of travel information and to the retrieved travel route(s) from the stored types of travel information. A display, printer or voice synthesizer presents the retrieved travel route(s) and travel information to a user of the system.
