Abstract: In an operating table system for the computer tomography assisted performance of operations on patients, including an operating table 10 with a subframe 14 and a patient support surface 12 releasably connected with the subframe, the patient support surface means 12 has a frame 16 connected with the subframe 14 and an x-ray permeable patient support plate 20 longitudinally slidably carried in the frame 16, with a support frame 44 intended for the reception of the support plate in a computer tomography system 40 having coupled with it a coupling station 46 for the transfer of the support plate from the operating table 10 to the support frame 44 and vice versa.

Abstract: A patient support means (16) of an operating table comprises several patient support sections (18,20,22,24) connected to one another and in the region of one of the sections is releasably connected with a support apparatus (10). The support section (18) connectable with the support apparatus (10) includes a lower plate portion (30) couplable with the support apparatus and an upper plate portion (32) translationally adjustably guided on the lower plate portion and connected with the remaining sections (20,22,24) of the patient support means (16), with the lower plate portion (30) being made in the form of a closed box in which the drive mechanism for the adjustment of the upper plate portion (32) is arranged.

Abstract: A structure providing a patient support surface is transferable between a stationery support column and a wheeled transport carriage with the transport carriage, the support column and the support surface providing structure having connecting parts which cooperate to securely hold the structure to the transfer carriage or to the support column when the structure is mounted on the transfer carriage or the support column, the connecting parts during transfer of the structure from the transfer carriage to a support column, or vice versa, being automatically moved between latched and unlatched conditions to allow the transfer to occur and having security features preventing the patient support surface providing structure from being inadvertently unfastened from both the support column and the transport carriage during a transfer procedure.
