Abstract: A method for projecting an image comprising providing a scanning mirror having a resonance frequency which is unequal to a target operating frequency (aka “scanning frequency”) at which the mirror is to operate; and/or providing logic and an actuator e.g. motor; and/or using the scanning mirror to project at least one image, including repeatedly using the logic to measure the mirror's operating frequency and to control the actuator to apply at least one force, to the mirror, which causes the mirror's instantaneous operating frequency to equal the target operating frequency.

Abstract: A system for controlling laser drivers of lasers, incorporated into optical devices which seek to provide e.g. project laser images including at least one laser image whose pixels are non-uniformly distributed, the system comprising memory which stores desired pixel location data; and a location-to-time converter e.g. hardware processor configured by software or firmware, which is configured to translate the desired pixel location data into time stamps and which, when embedded into an optical device which incorporates a laser having a laser driver, communicates the time stamps to the laser driver.

Abstract: Optical apparatus comprising a MEMS substrate having a surface; and a stack of optical coatings which is deposited on the MEMS substrate's surface and which modifies at least one property of light impinging on the stack.
Abstract: A motor driver circuit for a Micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) micro-mirror device, the motor driver circuit comprising: a non-inverting buffer circuit; an inverting buffer circuit; and a scalar circuit, the scalar circuit comprising a Supply Tracked Common Mode Voltage (VCMSC) generation circuit, wherein the non-inverting buffer circuit, the inverting buffer circuit, and the scalar circuit are configured, together with the VCMSC generation circuit, to provide a common mode voltage to a motor in response to a VCMSC voltage generated by the VCMSC generation circuit, and wherein the VCMSC voltage is generated by the VCMSC generation circuit in response to a control supply voltage and a driver supply voltage provided to the VCMSC generation circuit.
