Abstract: Improved telephone number input terminal devices for memory stored dialing data for automatic dialing have a divided housing (12) with an upper section (13) that is readily attached to and removed from a base section (14) so that a printed circuit board (61) which carries a plurality of electric elements (17) may be made inexpensively and readily assembled. A single electric element (51) is carried on the card finder (25) which is slidable on and retained by an enlarged end portion of the cover (22) for the index cards. Light emitting diodes and Hall effect devices are examples of preferred electric elements that may be used in the switch means to effect the electric switching required.
Abstract: A combined telephone index and switch arrangement for memory stored repertory for dialing data for automatic dial telephone systems, having a plurality of light sensitive diodes each keyed to a card in a card selector which selects a corresponding individual card of a multiple card index. A light source with a fiber optic secured to the selector transmits light from the light source to the card selector and to the diode for each card. Individual buttons corresponding to individual index lines of the displayed card can be manually activated to retrieve a telephone number stored in the memory for automatic dialing thereof.
Abstract: A telephone number index and switch device has a series of magnetic switches which are located in fixed positions with corresponding surfaces disposed along a preestablished path of movement of a card finder associated with cards having names and telephone numbers. A magnetic actuator is carried by the card finder but is not in physical contact with the magnetic switches for successively actuating the magnetic switches. A second switch separate and independent from the magnetic switches is used to complete the automatic dialing once a number is selected from the index and a magnetic switch has been actuated.
Abstract: A telephone card index, having a switch connected to the card finder for initially locking on to a memory section of a miniprocessor.[., a.]..Iadd.. .Iadd.A .Iaddend.key aligned with each name line of the card locates the exact memory address of the number to be called with pre-recorded dial signals at the memory address for an individual name line, .[.permits.]. .Iadd.permitting .Iaddend.automatic telephone dialing of the selected number. A keyboard in the circuit, with a display.Iadd., .Iaddend.permits adding, changing or recalling the recorded number at each address.
