  • Patent number: 4217908
Abstract: The invention provides electrical connectors used in the field of medical electrocardiography, and provides a connecting device which is universally adaptable to electrocardiography machines, and eliminates the need to apply electrically conductive gels to an area of the skin by providing a disposable contact with an electrically-conductive sponge. The disposable contact is held in place within a substantially rigid vacuum bell, with a pliable rubber ring which distorts to form an airtight seal between the vacuum bell and a patient's skin.
