    Abstract: A method of altering the nutrient composition of a feeder insect during a growth phase of the feeder insect includes preparing a diet by mixing feed material with nutrients and feeding the diet to the feeder insect during the growth phase so as to allow tissues of the feeder insect to absorb the nutrients during growth of the feeder insect. The nutrients include vitamin E, carotenoids, vitamin A, and essential fatty acids.
