Abstract: A ground stake includes an elongate body, a face plate at a top end of the elongate body, first and second depth and installation tabs projecting sidewardly and forwardly from first and second edges of the elongate body, the first and second depth and installation tabs each including an upwardly opening slot for receiving a tool to apply force to drive the ground stake. The first and second depth and installation tabs provide a visual indication that the ground stake is adequately driven. A tag system includes the ground stake, a first web server, and a user device for scanning the QR code and linking to the first web server via a local network. The first web server determines a specific web page from the QR code and directs the user device to the specific web page, including web pages from a web browser hosted on a second web server.

Abstract: A method and system of performing a commissioning procedure for an industrial facility utilizing assets includes receiving, at an electronic processor of a computing device, a series of selections to obtain audit information. From the selections, the electronic processor generates a search query and transmits the search query to a web server and a relational database for execution of the search query to obtain audit information. The electronic processor receives the audit information and populates the audit information into a record including an asset location, and an open pass/fail decision status for each of the assets for display as a record on a user interface. The electronic processor receives a selection of pass or fail for the audit information of a first asset, transmits a pass/fail result to the relational database via the web server, and displays the pass/fail result.

Abstract: A smart parent sign is provided for assisting in performing an interactive procedure utilizing assets that include asset identifiers in an industrial facility. The smart parent sign includes information for a parent asset and for a group of child assets with child tags disposed nearby. The smart parent sign includes an electronic processor having a memory, a transceiver, a parent asset identifier; and a power manager. The electronic processor is configured to provide data from the memory corresponding to at least one of the child assets that corresponds to one of the child tags to a portable smart device. The electronic processor is also configured to provide procedures for the parent and child assets to the portable smart device.

Abstract: A fastening system includes a ratchet head and a strap having a pair of side edges, a first side defining a base surface, and a second side having a plurality of teeth. A pair of troughs extend in a longitudinal direction and each is positioned interstitially between the plurality of teeth and a side edge. A plurality of standoffs are provided on the second side of the strap along each of the side edges, the standoffs extending from the base surface at least as far as a distal extent of the plurality of teeth. The ratchet head has a ratchet pawl operable to engage the plurality of teeth to adjustably receive and secure the strap.

Abstract: A method of performing an interactive procedure with a portable smart device utilizes assets that include asset identifiers in an industrial facility. The method provides indicia and/or photographs on a display of the portable smart device for procedural steps of a procedure to be performed on an industrial facility. The portable smart device receives an input to begin the procedure, displays indicia and/or photographs of an asset location and a first procedural step for an asset having an asset identifier. The portable smart device scans an asset identifier to ensure the proper asset is located. Thereafter, a procedural step for the asset is displayed. Upon performance of the step, an operator provides a confirmation to the smart device for ensuring that the procedural step is performed.
