Patent number: 8784979Abstract: In a thermally sprayed, gastight protective layer for metal substrates, such as Fe, Ni, Al, Mg and/or Ti, the spray powder for the purpose includes at least two components. The first is a silicate mineral or rock and the second is a metal powder and/or a further silicate mineral or rock. The silicate mineral or rock component in the spray powder has an alkali content of less than 6 percent by weight.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2008Date of Patent: July 22, 2014Assignee: Märkisches Werk GmbHInventor: Vadim Verlotski

Patent number: 7928614Abstract: The invention relates to an ultrasonic transducer, comprising an ultrasonic flange and a magnetostrictive driver, wherein the driver is connected to a contact surface of the ultrasonic flange that faces the same, and wherein the driver and the ultrasonic flange are connected in the region of the contact surface by means of electron beam welding and/or laser beam welding. The contact surface is configured by the bottom of at least one receiving pocket, which receives the end of the driver on the ultrasonic flange side, and at least one receiving pocket is configured in a pedestal-like elevation of the end of the ultrasonic flange facing the driver, and the pedestal-like elevation is higher than the depth of the receiving jackets configured therein.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2010Date of Patent: April 19, 2011Assignee: Markisches Werk GmbHInventors: Udo Hirnschal, Erik Braam

Patent number: 7707982Abstract: A valve rotating mechanism for exhaust valves, especially of marine diesel engines, which mechanism is braced in a valve housing for the valve stem (1) between an upper and a lower drive element, is linked to the lower drive element via a freewheel device, which transmits rotation of the valve stem (1) during closing movement thereof, and is also braced relative to the upper drive element via a rotary cylinder (15), which brings about rotation of the valve stem (1) through engagement with a fixed support cylinder (13). Therein the rotary cylinder (15) and support cylinder (13) are engaged with one another via a helical gearing, wherein the rotary cylinder (15) is linked to the valve stem (1) via the freewheel device and the support cylinder (13) is fastened on the housing side.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2004Date of Patent: May 4, 2010Assignee: Märkisches Werk GmbHInventor: Holger Fellmann

Publication number: 20090094830Abstract: A valve for controlling gas exchange, especially in internal combustion engines, comprises, at a valve stem, a stem end and at the other end thereof a valve cone. The valve cone and/or the valve stem are configured as hollow metal elements in such a manner that the hollow elements are entirely or partially filled with a metal foam. The interfaces between the metal and the metal foam are interlinked on the molecular level.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2008Publication date: April 16, 2009Applicant: MARKISCHES WERK GMBHInventor: Udo Hirnschal

Patent number: 4484544Abstract: A valve rotator is effective between a valve stem of an internal-combustion engine and a support, normally the cylinder head. The rotator comprises an upper spring plate, a lower spring plate spaced along an axis below this upper plate, a compression spring braced axially between the plates, a two-part link element having an upper part rotationally secured to the valve stem and a lower part rotationally fixed in at least one rotational direction relative to the axis on the lower plate, and a unidirectional clutch between the lower part and the support and permitting the lower part to rotate about the axis only in the one direction relative to the support. Normally the lower plate is rotatable relative to the upper plate and the lower part is generally cylindrical, centered on the axis, and fixed rotationally on the lower plate. The clutch is also normally provided between the lower plate and part and the support. Such a rotator is connected with the clutch so that it turns with the valve.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 1983Date of Patent: November 27, 1984Assignee: Markisches Werk GmbHInventors: Nikolaus Wendel, Joachim Plener
