Abstract: Liquid jet printer device for recording information on an information carrier in the form of characters or symbols. A print head forms a part of the device and a plurality of liquid channels are arranged therein to discharge a series of liquid jets or liquid droplets according to a predetermined pattern during predetermined printing periods. The liquid channels in the print head present outlet openings for the discharge of print liquid under pressure, and valves included therein, switchable for opening and closing respectively the liquid channels. Inlet ends connect the liquid channels to a supply conduit for delivery of print liquid via a pump under pressure from a liquid container. The device maintains an operating pressure in the supply conduit only during those printing periods during which printing takes place. Pressure relief occurs during idle periods between printing periods to atmospheric pressure or sub-atmospheric pressure.

Abstract: Device for printers using pressurized fluid medium for recording characters on an information carrier. The device is formed with at least one buffer chamber placed in direct connection with a fluid chamber, which constitutes one side of a wall or plate provided with a discharge. The buffer chamber includes an elastic or at least flexible dividing wall between the fluid chamber and the buffer chamber. The buffer chamber has a relatively small volume and is closed and, in one embodiment, is such that it allows penetration or migration of gas molecules only through the dividing wall.

Abstract: A valve device for matrix printers of the ink jet type.The device is arranged for providing a liquid tight closure and opening of a passage for generating a portion of a character by the output of a certain amount of liquid for character recording through said passage.Armatures, each one having an end portion are arranged as valve bodies in the passages, and means are arranged for operating the armatures in a reciprocating movement for obtaining said closure and opening functions.A plate shaped element is the element wherein the passages are formed and comprises a grindable element, which is such that it is grindable to a smooth condition with long term smoothness and generally free from internal strains.The end portion or valve head of each armature has at least partially a smooth surface arranged for being directly brought into abutment against the smooth grinded element, around the opening of the passage facing the armature.

A recording device of the matrix type (13) is rotatable around an axis perpendicular to a column of the matrix.The recording device is arranged for relative movement relative the actual information carrier and means are arranged for actuating the matrix for information recording in the movement direction dependent on the angle between a matrix column and the movement direction.A sensor arrangement is rotatable together with the matrix column and has means for detecting of at least the parameters relative movement direction, relative speed and said angle.A single processing unit is arranged for controlling the character recording in said predetermined manner dependent on said parameters.

Each valve is associated with a magnet core having a winding and a valve pipe having a valve armature and a counter armature. The windings at adjacent magnet cores are arranged alternatingly, a first one at one side of the row of valve pipes and the next one at the opposite side.
