  • Patent number: 5133463
Abstract: Adjustability in fastening is afforded by hooks extending from a periphery of wiremesh panels that is engageable simultaneously with any one of a plurality of parallel support rods which extend across another wiremesh panel so that both panels may rest against each other. Adjustability in fastening is also afforded by three elements which may be fastened together into a plurality of positions relative each other and which has one element secured to a support post of a gondola and another element supporting a lever system for a storage bin or for a shelf bin. Elongated slots in each of the three elements provide adjustability.

  • Patent number: 5096074
Abstract: Shelving for supporting merchandise includes a sloping base shelf that extends outwardly from a gondola wall and slightly upwardly toward a shopping aisle. The base shelf is supported by a framework that rests upon the floor. An extension shelf is mounted on a framework that is slidably mounted to the base shelf. The extension shelf and base shelf are substantially parallel and spaced apart. A pin on the frame of the extension shelf is selectably positioned in any of a plurality of stop positions provided on the base shelf framework. In a first position in the base shelf overlies the extension shelf and in a second position the extension shelf extends beyond the base shelf into the aisle. Where a large inventory is desired on the selling floor, the base shelf surface is supplemented by pulling out the extension shelf from beneath the base shelf.

  • Patent number: 5040686
Abstract: A hanging arrangement which includes a hanger. The hanger has a central portion and two elongated hanger arms which extend away from the central portion. The central portion has an inner facing side which defines a space. The arms each hold shoulder straps of a brassiere in position against the arms so as to avoid relative movement of the shoulder straps where held with respect to the arms. The inner facing side has a portion at an elevation which is higher than where the shoulder straps of the brassiere are to be held against the arms. The arms each have a face which extends in a common plane. The faces each have a predetermined width so that if said faces are each projected through the space to intersect each other as would occur by further elongating the hanger arms toward each other, said portion of the inner facing side lies within said widths of the faces as projected. The space is adapted to accommodate a support member inserted therein so that the portion of the side rests against the support member.

  • Patent number: 5022539
Abstract: A display for supporting merchandise includes a two-sided tray having a flat surface on one side and on the reverse side, a surface adapted to engage peg hooks. The tray is pivotably connected to a vertical support structure by means of a bracket that connects at one portion to the tray and at another portion to the support structure. In one position of the tray, the flat surface is horizontal and merchandise may be placed on top of the tray. In a second position of the tray, the tray is vertical with the hook engaging means exposed. Latching means maintains the tray in the vertical position when the hook engaging mode of use is desired. A plurality of trays are supported, one over the other on the support structure and each tray may be positioned individually in the horizontal or vertical position without regard to the orientation of any other tray.

  • Patent number: 5014954
Abstract: A display for supporting merchandise includes a horizontal arm assembly comprising a pair of elongated nesting segments that can be selectively and reversibly locked at a number of longitudinally positions relative to each other. One end of the arm assembly is free. The other end connects to an indexing pin assembly that in turn connects to a support structure. A support bracket directly connects to the support structure, for example, a wall, and the arm assembly mounts to the support bracket by a vertical indexing pin that is rotatably supported in support bracket openings and keyed to the support arm. A key on the indexing pin engages any one of a plurality of slots on the support bracket to selectively set the angular position of the arm assembly relative to the support structure. Arm length is adjustable without using tools.

  • Patent number: 4706824
Abstract: A variable sized free standing promotional display for promotional advertising. In place of the normal cardboard display shelf of one size, the invention contemplates using end members of plastic having vertical pedestals above and below the end members. The end members include one-way locking tabs on both the side, upper and lower walls to receive an appropriately slotted and cut beam member, which may be made of corrugated cardboard from the packing materials. The side edges of the beam are received and locked by the one-way locking tabs and is centered and held rigidly by central vertical channels. The transverse length of the shelves may be varied, in accordance with the length of the beam member utilized.Vertical cardboard columns may be anchored on the pedestal members to provide a vertical promotional display of more than one shelf.

  • Patent number: 4531311
Abstract: In a data information display device for use with products displayed in a shelf environment. The unit includes a bracket which is designed to mount either adhesively to the front edge of a shelf or by adhesive or other gripping means to a typical ticket rail mounted on the front edge of a shelf. Depending from the bracket is a support member which rotatably carries a data-carrying member having two surfaces, the front surface carrying information for a consumer of the goods and the rear surface carrying information used by store personnel for reorder purposes. The unit normally hangs in a position with the consumer information visible. By simple rotation of the member of the data-carrying member the store reorder information becomes visible and, when utilized, the supporting force is removed and the data-carrying member resumes its normal position.
