Abstract: An improved door seal for oven doors and the like comprising a seal having a length substantially greater than its width, having a retaining hook operably secured to each end of said seal by means of eyelets, the door having at least two spaced apart apertures between which the seal is extended by insertion of the respective retainer hooks into respective apertures. The seal may be made of an elastomeric material and the door apertures may be disposed in a manner that the seal is stretched in tension between them by said retaining hooks. More than one seal may be used, with the door seal having a multiplicity of pairs of apertures, to create a U-shaped seal or whatever desired design is selected.
