  • Patent number: 5103797
Abstract: An adjustable arrow rest apparatus comprises a base which is mountable to an archery bow handle and an elongated support bar extending therefrom. An arrow launcher assembly is movably mounted to the support bar for lateral movement. The support bar has an elongated slot formed longitudinally therein at a selected position between its outer and inner ends. The longitudinal slot has opposed relative outer and inner terminuses. A longitudinal opening is formed through the outer terminus and communicates with the slot. A threaded rod is slidably received through the outer terminus opening and passes longitudinally within and along the slot. The threaded rod is secured in a manner which precludes sliding of the threaded rod through the outer terminus opening and along the slot, yet enables rotation of the threaded rod within the outer terminus opening and slot. An adjustment block is received within the slot, and has a threaded bore through which the threaded rod is threadedly received.

  • Patent number: 5081980
Abstract: An arrow rest apparatus for attachment to an archery bow handle comprises a cushion plunger assembly and an arrow support. The cushion plunger assembly has an elongated inner plunger and an elongated outer sleeve, the inner plunger being received within the outer sleeve and projecting therefrom. The inner plunger is outwardly biased to an extended position relative to the outer sleeve and is depressible to a depressed position against the bias to absorb side pressure exerted by an arrow in the direction of the bow upon shooting. The cushion plunger assembly is laterally mountable through an archery bow handle to engage a side of an arrow with the inner plunger. Upper and lower mounting holes extend through the outer sleeve and are generally vertically opposed and aligned. A slot is formed longitudinally through the elongated inner plunger.

  • Patent number: 5062407
Abstract: An arrow launcher apparatus for adjusting an arrow launcher laterally along an elongated lateral support bar of an arrow rest apparatus, wherein the support bar has a male dovetail-shaped cross-section. The arrow launcher apparatus has an arrow launcher support block which supports an arrow launcher. A threaded bore extends generally laterally through the support block. A dovetail slot in the support block is slidaly received by the arrow rest lateral support bar and allows the support block to slide laterally relative to the support bar. A set screw is threadably received in the support block and is positioned to engage the arrow rest lateral support bar. The set screw can be tightened to lock the support block at a selected lateral position along the arrow rest lateral support bar. End blocks, each with dovetail slots, are received by the lateral support bar and are clamped to the support bar by set screws. Each end block has a lateral barrel at its fore end.

  • Patent number: 5052364
Abstract: An adjustable arrow rest apparatus for mounting to a handle of an archery bow comprises, a) a base which is mountable to an archery bow handle; b) a support bar extending from the base; c) a first arrow launcher movably mounted to the support bar for lateral movement therealong; and d) a second arrow launcher movably mounted to the support bar for lateral movement therealong independent of the first arrow launcher. The second arrow launcher comprises: a) a substantially upright support so movably mounted to the support bar; b) a side pressure absorbing unit to absorb side pressure exerted by an arrow in the direction of the bow handle, the side pressure absorbing unit being movably mounted to the upright support for selective elevational movement relative thereto; and c) a set screw or other components for releasably setting the side pressure absorbing unit at a selected elevational position relative to the upright support.

  • Patent number: 5022378
Abstract: An overdraw apparatus supports an arrow for shooting at a support location between the drawstring full-draw rearward position and the drawstring full-forward travel position upon its release. A construction is provided whereby the drawstring can pass through and beyond the support location, and thereby enable much shorter arrows to be shot from a conventional bow than would otherwise be possible. In one embodiment, the actual arrow support includes two members which are separated by a space which allows the drawstring to pass therebetween. In another embodiment, the arrow support includes a pivotally mounted arm which gets struck by the bowstring and pivots forwardly to accommodate the movement of the drawstring forwardly beyond the support location.

  • Patent number: 5001837
Abstract: An archery bow sight assembly 10 is described for enabling an archer to more accurately aim the bow with respect to a target spaced from the archer. The assembly 10 has a mounting bracket 28 for mounting the assembly 10 to a mounting fixture 17. The assembly 10 projects forward of the bow handle section 13 with a sight unit 68 and a scale 62 and associated pointer 64 positioned forward of the handle section 13. The sight unit 68 and scale 62 are interconnected by a parallelogram subassembly 38 to move them in unison by a lever 86.

  • Patent number: 4899716
Abstract: An arrow rest apparatus for an archery bow includes a base, a support bar extending from the base, and a support block slidably mounted to the support bar. The support block and the support bar have a dovetail sliding interconnection to enable sliding movement of the support block along the support bar, but to preclude any rotation of the support block about the support bar. The support block is selectively lockable relative to the support bar to set the support block at the desired position. An arrow launcher is pivotally mounted by the support block and includes a fore end adapted for receiving an arrow. The fore end is upwardly biased by a tapered spring. A first set screw engages the tapered spring enabling its compression to be adjusted and correspondingly the force required to pivot the arrow launcher about its pivot axis. A second set screw engages the aft end of the arrow launcher enabling the resting elevation of the arrow receiving portion to be selectively varied.

  • Patent number: 4889102
Abstract: An archery bow and an archery bow handle in accordance with the invention includes an arrow window defined by a horizontal shelf and a generally vertical sidewall. An elongated horizontal slot extends through the sidewall and has a minimum predetermined width sufficiently great for slidably receiving a threaded bolt of an archery bow attachment therethrough to enable selective positioning of such an attachment relative to the bow. An elongated shoulder is provided substantially coextensively within the slot and defines bearing surfaces against which a predetermined size threaded nut received by the threaded bolt can tightly bear for securing the attachment to the bow. The width of the widest portion of the slot is sufficiently great to just slidably receive the nut, but prevent such nut from rotating within the slot. The opposite side of the vertical sidewall includes a recess having a threaded hole extending therefrom into the sidewall.
