Patents Assigned to MARVIS MEDICAL GMBH
  • Patent number: 9358386
Abstract: A medical device according to the invention for insertion into a human and/or animal body comprises an elongated tubular lead probe including a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, an opening which opens into a lumen extending in the axial direction being formed on the proximal end of the lead probe, and the distal end of the lead probe being closed. The medical device further comprises an elongated core which is constructed in such a manner that it can be inserted into the lead probe and removed again via the lumen, and the core is made from non-metallic filaments and a matrix material.

  • Publication number: 20150182671
Abstract: The present invention concerns a medical device detectable by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), said medical device comprising an envelope polymer that is at least partly removed at the distal end of the medical device wherein said distal end is provided with a coating comprising a coating polymer modified with at least one chemical compound having one or more chemically active free functional groups to provide a surface coating covalently bonded to the free functional groups of the modified coating polymer, wherein paramagnetic ions are encompassed in the coating.

  • Patent number: 9038639
Abstract: The invention relates to a rod-shaped body (1) comprised of one or more filaments (2) and of a non-ferromagnetic matrix material (3). The matrix material (3) surrounds the filament(s) (1) and/or adheres them to one another. The rod-shaped body is also comprised of a dopant consisting of particles that generate magnetic resonance tomographic artifacts that is introduced into the matrix material (3). Rod-shaped bodies of this type can be used to construct guide wires, catheters and other instruments to be used in minimally invasive surgical interventions.

  • Publication number: 20130324837
Abstract: The present invention concerns a medical device which can be detected by means of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The medical device is characterized by having mechanically stably attached a coating comprising paramagnetic ions which are directly and strongly encompassed by the coating polymers. The medical device comprises a modified envelope polymer providing chemically active free functional groups and a coating covalently bonded to the free functional groups of the envelope polymer at its surface. The coating contains statistically encompassed paramagnetic ions to render it MR visible.
