    Abstract: A sealing ring device is provided for a fluid valve having a piston (2) reciprocating within a cylinder (1), wherein the piston (2) includes a valve cone (2c) adapted to contact a valve seat (11). In order to seal the inner space of the cylinder (1) located behind the piston (2) from an inlet/outlet passageway (A), a resilient sealing ring (5) is disposed in an annular groove (4) opening into the cylinder (1) around the rear end (2a) of the piston (2). A press ring (7), which extends above the rear end (2a) of the piston (2), contains the sealing ring (5) in the annular groove (4). A spring element (8) rests on the press ring (7). A piston rod (3) is guided in slidable manner through the piston (2). A stop (9) is attached to the rod (3) above the rear end (2a) and opposite the top side of the spring element (8).

    Abstract: A low-noise control valve in which a noise-dampening element (9) is arranged inside of the valve housing (1) in the passageway of the medium. A built-in element, in which lamellas touching one another are arranged over the entire cross section of passage parallel to each other and parallel to the direction of flow serves as noise-dampening element. These lamellas exhibit a linear corrugation, with the directions of the corrugations proceeding obliquely with respect to the direction of flow and the directions of the corrugations of two adjacent lamellas at a time intersecting each other. Favorable sound level reductions are achieved in small installation dimensions. In upper valves, the built-in element can be arranged at the valve cone. In rotary cone valves, it can be designed as a valve seat.

    Abstract: A valve for use under severe throttling conditions, includes a housing with fluid inlet and outlet passages communicating with a chamber inside the housing. An abrasive resistant throttling tube in fluid communication with the inlet passage projects into the chamber. Also, an abrasive-resistant throttling plug is movably positioned inside the housing so that it can be moved between a first position wherein its end is spaced from the mouth of the throttling tube and a second position wherein it obstructs the mouth of the throttling tube. As mating surfaces of the plug and tube are eroded away by fluid flowing through the valve, the plug is advanced further and further toward the throttling tube so that unabraded surfaces of the plug and tube are presented to one another whereby maximum fluid throttling is achieved despite such wear.
