  • Patent number: 5044913
Abstract: A loading elevator for a multi-platen press is provided with a pusher which simultaneously transfers a number of transport plates loaded with stampings to the press. After press operations are completed, the plates are unloaded by an extractor to an unloading elevator. The pushing and the unloading of the plates are automatic, with sensors provided to halt the loading and unloading in the event of excessive resistance to the movement of any one of the plates. A plurality of sensors are provided in the pusher and in the extractor, one sensor there for each of the plates. Each sensor is connected to halt the operation on recognition by the sensor that an express resistance exists and if desired to provide a signal that the halting has taken place.

  • Patent number: 4872952
Abstract: A method and a device for manufacturing a board- or sheet shaped material with a high amount of glass or mineral wool fibres and produced in e.g. a board- or paper making machine. The purpose of the invention is to provide a wetting of the fibres and a distribution of them in aqueous phase so that they can be mixed with the other ingredients, paper pulp and binding agent, to a mass with the desired composition. The fibres are fed in air stream into a cyclon, after the outlet of which the fibre stream is accelerated under simultaneous supply of water or steam, which replaces the air about the fibres. The wetted fibres are then mixed with paper pulp and binding agent and supplied to a device for producing a board- or sheet-shaped material, such as a board- or paper making machine.

  • Patent number: 4329827
Abstract: A roofing element is described which comprises two spaced skins, an upper skin of relatively thick non-metallic sheet material, such as plywood or chip board, and a lower skin of sheet metal, for resisting compression stresses in the upper skin and tension stresses in the lower skin. The skins are bonded to spacing members extending in the lengthwise direction of the element and provided by composite beams of non-metallic or substantially non-metallic material, having webs of wood-based board material and flange members of wood. The spaces between the skins are filled up with a thermally insulating material, such as mineral wool or foamed uretane plastic.
