Abstract: A gasoline powered boat safety ignition system has a start timer that requires the engine room blowers to operate for a time prior to allowing engine start up. It has a second timer sequence that permits a hot or warm start shortly after the engine has been shut down without as much of a delay for blower operation as for a cold start. Also, the system has a timer that cyclically turns the blowers on for short periods while the engine is operating and has a switch for overriding the safety system in case of an emergency.
