Abstract: A system for payment routing programmed to: receive a payment transaction message relating to a putative payment transaction of an accountholder, the payment transaction message containing putative payment transaction data including a transaction amount corresponding to the putative payment transaction; identify a plurality of accounts corresponding to the accountholder based on the payment transaction message; implement a payment split among the accounts, the payment split assigning a proportion of the transaction amount to each of the accounts; and generate a scaled score representing the likelihood of settlement of the assigned proportion of the transaction amount via each of the accounts on a date.

Abstract: A method for application of account and transaction controls on a payment token includes: storing, in a first device of a system, a control profile including a token number and transaction controls; storing, in a second device of the system, a token profile including the token number and a corresponding account number; receiving, at the first device, a transaction message including a data element having the token number and additional transaction data; determining, by the first device, compliance with the transaction controls based on the additional transaction data; transmitting the transaction message from the first to the second device; replacing, by the second device, the token number with the account number in the transaction message; and transmitting, by the second device, the transaction message to a financial institution associated with the account number.

Abstract: A method for securely presenting transaction card data of a transaction card includes receiving, by a server, a pairing request to pair the transaction card with a user device. Based on the pairing request, the transaction card is paired with the user device by way of a pairing identifier. The server receives, from the user device, a data presentation request to present the transaction card data on the user device. In response to the data presentation request, the server validates the pairing between the user device and the transaction card based on the pairing identifier. The server communicates, to the user device, the transaction card data based on the validation of the pairing between the user device and the transaction card. The communicated transaction card data is presented on a user interface rendered on the user device.

Abstract: An application running on a user's mobile communication device photographically captures images of a code image. The code image may be permanently displayed at the transport location, or may be provided on a vehicle temporarily at the transport location. The displayed code image encodes travel data including ticket prices of a travel service from the transport location, and the application decodes the travel data from the captured images. The user can use the application to purchase a travel ticket on the travel service.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in identifying synthetic party identities. One exemplary method includes receiving, at a computing device, a request from a relying party to assess validity of an identity presented by an asserting party in a network communication between the asserting party and the relying party, where the request includes identity data associated with the identity of the asserting party. The method also includes calculating, by the computing device, an assessment metric representative of the validity of the identity of the asserting party, where the assessment metric is based on at least one score derived from the identity data, and transmitting, by the computing device, the assessment metric to the relying party, whereby the relying party utilizes the assessment metric to determine whether or not to further interact with the asserting party in connection with the network communication.

Abstract: A transaction payload is received that represents at least i) a transaction initiated between a merchant and a customer, ii) an identification of the merchant, iii) an amount of the transaction, and iv) a transaction account associated with the customer. The transaction payload is encrypted using the OEM device credential. Thereafter, the transaction payload is decrypted and validated. Furthermore, the transaction payload is encrypted using an issuer credential, and routed via a predetermined payment service provider to a device associated with the issuer. Thereafter, the processor(s) receive from a device associated with the issuer, approval of the transaction, and transmit approval information to the enrolled mobile computing device for notifying the merchant that the transaction is approved.

Abstract: A method for secured receipt and usage of payment credentials using a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) device includes: storing, in the COTS device, a secure application program and cryptographic keys; establishing, by the program, a secure communication channel with a back-end system inaccessible by any application program or component in the COTS device; exchanging attestation data between the program and the back-end system using the communication channel; receiving payment credentials from a payment card by a near field communication (NFC) interface in the COTS device; transmitting the payment credentials to the program by the NFC interface; enciphering, by the program, the payment credentials; and transmitting, by the program of the COTS device, the enciphered payment credentials to the back-end system using the secure communication channel.

Abstract: A method for facilitating payment transactions includes receiving, by a server, a flash code request indicative of a transaction amount. A flash code associated with the transaction amount is communicated by the server to the payer device. The flash code is encoded into a flash pattern at the payer device and communicated to a payee device of a payee for executing a payment transaction between the payer and the payee. A first request for the payment transaction is received by the server from the payee device. The first request includes the flash code obtained by decoding the flash pattern at the payee device. The flash code included in the first request is validated by the server. Based on successful validation of the flash code, the transaction amount is deducted from a payer account of the payer and credited to a payee account of the payee.

Abstract: A method for preventing an unauthorized transaction indicative of scalping includes: receiving transaction data for a first payment transaction including one or more product identifiers associated with one or more products purchased in the first payment transaction and consumer identification data; updating a consumer profile based on the one or more product identifiers, wherein the consumer profile is identified using the consumer identification data; receiving a transaction message for a second payment transaction including at least one product identifier included in the one or more product identifiers and at least one consumer data value that is also included in the consumer profile; determining a suspicion score for the consumer profile above a predetermined threshold value; and transmitting an authorization response message for the second payment transaction including a response code indicative of rejection of the second payment transaction.

In one aspect there is provided a wearable device for authenticating a user, including: one or more sensors for obtaining sensor data related to movement of fingers of the user wearing the wearable device to provide authentication data; and one or more processors configured to: receive the sensor data; interpret the sensor data using one or more classifiers to determine the authentication data; and use the authentication data to access a service.

Abstract: A method for verification of a data value via a Merkle root includes: storing, in a memory of a processing server, a Merkle root; receiving at least a data value, a nonce, and a plurality of hash path values; generating a combined value by combining the data value and the nonce; generating a first hash value via application of a hashing algorithm to the combined value; generating a subsequent hash value via application of the hashing algorithm to a combination of the first hash value and a first of the plurality of hash path values; repeating generation of the subsequent hash value using a combination of the next hash path value of the plurality of hash path values and the most recent subsequent hash value; and verifying the data value based on a comparison of the Merkle root and the last generated subsequent hash value.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method of processing a data transfer. The method comprises generating a first identifier for a first entity; linking the first identifier with a second identifier associated with a second entity; sending the first identifier and the second identifier to the first server; verifying the first entity based at least on the first identifier and the second identifier; sending a message to a second server, the message comprising at least the first identifier, the second identifier, and a name associated with the first identifier; and authenticating the data transfer for the first entity based at least on the information contained in the message.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in processing transactions based on biometric data used in connection with authenticating consumers to payment accounts to which the transactions are directed. One exemplary method includes prompting a consumer to provide a biometric in connection with a transaction by the consumer, and receiving a payment account credential specific to a payment account for use in the transaction. The method also includes appending a biometric score and an indication of a biometric technology used to capture the biometric to an authorization request associated with the transaction, and transmitting, by the computing device, the authorization request to an issuer.

Abstract: A method for trusted notifications comprises: receiving, at a first host having at least one trusted server, a request message from a sender computing device, the request message comprising a request identifier and instructions to: update, at a second host, a recipient account associated with a recipient computing device, and to make a corresponding update at the first host to a sender account associated with the sender computing device. The method further comprises authorizing, at the first host, the request message; updating the sender account; generating a secure message at the at least one trusted server, the secure message comprising the request identifier and an indication from the at least one trusted server that the update completed; and sending the secure message from the first host to the sender computing device. The secure message can be received at the sender computer device and conveyed to the recipient computing device.

Abstract: A method is proposed for a payer, to make a payment to a payee, such as a merchant. The payer's communication device automatically acquires payment facilitation data comprising payee account identification data identifying a payment account associated with the payee and maintained by an acquirer. The payment facilitation data preferably also includes transaction data describing the payment, such as the amount of the payment. From the payment facilitation data, the communication device generates a payment request which is transmitted to an issuer at which the payer maintains a payment account. The issuer communicates with the acquirer, typically via a payment network, to arrange for a payment to be made, and the payment is credited to the payment account associated with the payee, and debited from the payment account associated with the payer. Thus, a payment is effected without the payee ever receiving confidential information about the payer's payment account.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in responding to attribute queries related to identifying information for a user. One exemplary method includes receiving a request for an identity code for a user associated with identifying information, where the identifying information includes multiple attributes of the user, and generating the identity code and transmitting it to a computing device associated with the user. The method then includes receiving an identity request for the user from a requesting party including the identity code and at least one query related to at least one of the multiple attributes of the user, identifying the user based on the identity code, compiling a response to the at least one query based on the identifying information of the multiple attributes of the user, and transmitting the response to the requesting party.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for storing data blocks in distributed storage. One example computer-implemented method includes receiving a request for data included in a data block, where the request includes index addresses for different ones of multiple storage devices of a distributed storage. The method also includes, based on the index addresses, retrieving the N segments of the data block and the M segments of chaff from the storage devices of the distributed storage, decrypting the N segments of the data block and the M segments of chaff, and discarding the M segments of chaff. The method then further includes reconstructing the data block from the retrieved N segments of the data block, thereby providing access to the data included in the data block.

Abstract: A secondary authentication system and computer-implemented method for obtaining real-time cardholder authentication of a payment transaction associated with a cardholder's payment card includes a memory device for storing data and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory device. The processor is programmed to receive a payment authorization request message including a primary account number corresponding to a payment account of the cardholder for funding the payment transaction. In addition, the processor is programmed to determine whether the payment account requires secondary authentication by the cardholder for the payment transaction, and if, based on the determination, the payment account requires secondary authentication of the payment transaction, place the payment transaction on hold.

Abstract: A payment management system and method of managing a payment network includes generating a payment token based on a bank account of a user (e.g., a buyer), receiving a dynamic code through a network for a transaction, and validating a request for payment of the transaction using an installment plan based on funds from the bank account. The validating the request for payment of the transaction is performed based on operations which include authenticating the payment token and verifying the dynamic code. In addition, the method includes generating a decision signal indicating a decision for the request when the request for payment is validated and transmitting the decision signal to a merchant system to authorize or decline completion of the transaction.

Abstract: A method for maintaining a consistent blockchain ledger for storing commitments across multiple separate blockchains includes: storing a blockchain comprised of a plurality of blocks, each block including at least a block header and one or more blockchain data values; receiving a base commitment from a first node, where the first node is included in a first blockchain network; generating a first new block including at least a first block header and the received base commitment; storing the first new block in the blockchain; receiving a state commitment from an additional node included in each of at least two additional blockchain networks; generating an additional new block including at least an additional block header and each received state commitment; and storing the additional new block in the blockchain.
