Abstract: A container having a knit line. The container comprises a body defining a partially enclosed volume having an access opening defined by a neck, the neck defining a pocket. An insert is coupled to the neck. The insert comprises an outer wall configured to fit within the opening of the container and defining the periphery of the insert. The outer wall has an upper edge and a lower edge, with the upper edge including an annular lip extending radially outward to prevent the insert from being pushed too far into or through the neck. The tooth extends from the lip and is configured to insert into a notch defined by the neck of the container. An upstanding spout is located within the outer wall. A bottom wall connects the lower edge of the outer wall and the spout to form a channel between the outer wall and the spout.

Abstract: An actuator for an aerosol container having a valve with a projecting valve stem includes an actuator button having an outlet for coupling to the valve stem. A crossbar is disposed between the container and the actuator button. The crossbar is movable with respect to the valve stem between at least a first position blocking depression of the actuator button with respect to the valve stem and a second position permitting depression of the actuator button with respect to the valve stem. The crossbar preferably can be moved from either side of the actuator, and one or more springs preferably are carried by the crossbar for engaging the container and biasing the crossbar to the first or blocking position.

Abstract: A plastic paint container includes a body having an interior and a neck defining an opening to the interior. The neck includes a neck sealing surface. An insert includes an outer wall configured to fit within the opening of the body and defining the periphery of the insert. The outer wall includes an upper edge and a lower edge. A lip extends radially outward from the upper edge to prevent the insert from being pushed to far into or through the neck. The lip is formed from a first material and includes an upper surface and a lower surface. The lip includes a second material formed over the first material. The first material being harder than the second material. A cover is threadably engaged with the neck. The second material contacts the neck sealing surface and a cover sealing surface when the cover is threadably engaged on the neck.

Abstract: A system for containing paint is disclosed. The system comprises a body between a cover and a base. The system also comprises a handle configured for attachment to the body and selectively configurable between a first position and a second position. The system also comprises a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism comprises a protrusion configured for insertion into a recess of the body. The locking mechanism also comprises a tab of the handle configured for selective insertion into a track of the body. The locking mechanism is configured to inhibit movement of the handle in at least two planes when the handle is in the first position. A method of using a container for paint is also disclosed. A system for containing paint comprising means for locking the handle to the body is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method and a system for holding and mixing a first container of paint having a first volume and a second container of paint having a second volume less than the first volume. The system comprises a holder comprising a clamp having a plate configured to apply pressure to the first container. A motor is configured to move the holder about at least one axis. The platform is configured for being removably placed within the holder and configured to hold the second container. Another embodiment of the system includes a stop placed proximate an edge of the platform.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transporting fluid. The apparatus includes a hollow body having a neck defining a first aperture extending into the body. A spout insert is configured to fit inside the neck. A handle is coupled to the container. A cover is configured to close the aperture. In another embodiment the handle and cover are integrally formed as a single piece. Another embodiment provides the handle, the cover and the spout are integrally formed as a single piece. In another embodiment, the cover includes an auxiliary lid to cover a second aperture extending into the body.

Abstract: An insert for a container includes an outer wall, a upstanding spout, and a bottom wall. The outer wall is configured to fit within an opening of the container and defines the periphery of the insert. The outer wall has a lower edge and an upper edge that is disposed at a first elevation. The upstanding spout is located within the outer wall and includes at least one substantially straight portion. The straight portion has a lower edge as well as a substantially straight upper edge that is disposed at a second elevation less than the first elevation. The bottom wall connects the lower edge of the outer wall and the lower edge of the spout to form a channel between the outer wall and the spout.

Abstract: A paint container includes a top, a bottom, and at least one side wall. A handle is pivotally attached to the body proximate the top. A recess is disposed in the handle proximate the top of the container when the handle is in a rest position. The handle includes an indentation to receive a hook for supporting the container. The handle also includes a pair of tabs that are received in recesses in the bottom for positive location and secure stacking.

Abstract: A paint container includes a body having a bottom, a plurality of side walls, and a top. An attachment mechanism is located proximate the top. A cap is configured to be secured to the attachment mechanism. A spout extends upward proximate the top and is at least partially surrounded by the attachment mechanism. A channel located between the attachment mechanism and the spout permits paint spilled into the channel to flow back into the paint container.

Abstract: A paint container includes a top, a bottom, and at least one side wall. A handle is pivotally attached to the body proximate the top. A finger recess is disposed in the bottom and an access recess is positioned between the bottom and at least one side wall. A user may insert one or more fingers through the access recess and into the finger recess to grasp the body when the body is resting on a flat surface.

Abstract: A system for mixing paint and for holding a container of paint having a cover engaging a body is disclosed. The system comprises a rotary mixer comprising a holder configured for receiving the container. The system also comprises a clamp comprising an arm configured to pivot from a first position to a second position and a plate configured for positioning between a first linear position and a second linear position. The plate in the second linear position maintains the engagement of the cover of the container to the body by compression to inhibit leakage of the paint. A method of mixing paint with a rotary mixer is also disclosed.
