    Abstract: A container having a knit line. The container comprises a body defining a partially enclosed volume having an access opening defined by a neck, the neck defining a pocket. An insert is coupled to the neck. The insert comprises an outer wall configured to fit within the opening of the container and defining the periphery of the insert. The outer wall has an upper edge and a lower edge, with the upper edge including an annular lip extending radially outward to prevent the insert from being pushed too far into or through the neck. The tooth extends from the lip and is configured to insert into a notch defined by the neck of the container. An upstanding spout is located within the outer wall. A bottom wall connects the lower edge of the outer wall and the spout to form a channel between the outer wall and the spout.

    Abstract: An actuator for an aerosol container having a valve with a projecting valve stem includes an actuator button having an outlet for coupling to the valve stem. A crossbar is disposed between the container and the actuator button. The crossbar is movable with respect to the valve stem between at least a first position blocking depression of the actuator button with respect to the valve stem and a second position permitting depression of the actuator button with respect to the valve stem. The crossbar preferably can be moved from either side of the actuator, and one or more springs preferably are carried by the crossbar for engaging the container and biasing the crossbar to the first or blocking position.

The lip is formed from a first material and includes an upper surface and a lower surface. The lip includes a second material formed over the first material. The first material being harder than the second material. A cover is threadably engaged with the neck. The second material contacts the neck sealing surface and a cover sealing surface when the cover is threadably engaged on the neck.

The locking mechanism also comprises a tab of the handle configured for selective insertion into a track of the body. The locking mechanism is configured to inhibit movement of the handle in at least two planes when the handle is in the first position. A method of using a container for paint is also disclosed. A system for containing paint comprising means for locking the handle to the body is also disclosed.

The plate in the second linear position maintains the engagement of the cover of the container to the body by compression to inhibit leakage of the paint.
